Move over, Ozzfest: Motley Crue announces Crue Fest

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Motley Crue is hitting the road again — and they’re bringing some friends along for the ride.
The heavy metal band announced the launch of the first-ever Crue Fest on Tuesday. The summer rock festival will feature the four original members of Motley Crue — singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee — as well as Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. and Trapt.
“We’ve been wanting to do this forever,” Lee told The Associated Press about the festival. “And we’re finally doing it.”
Produced by Live Nation, Crue Fest will kick off July 1 in West Palm Beach, Fla. The tour will stop in 41 U.S. and Canadian cities.
Known for their bad behavoir and famous girlfriends just as much as they are for hits like “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Dr. Feelgood,” Motley Crue reunited in 2004 and previously toured with Aerosmith in 2006.
“The second we hit the stage, everything is exactly the same,” Lee said.
“But when the house lights go up these days, everybody leaves and goes back to their hotel room or bus or airplane or whatever. It’s different now. People have families and kids.”
The band also announced it will release “Saints of Los Angeles,” their ninth studio album, on June 17.
Lee told the AP the new album — the first featuring all four original band members in more than a decade — is a mix of “old school and new school” Crue.

Just got my weekly e mail from Ticketmaster and presale is already started for the Burgh...
Checked out tix.. wow only $75.00 a piece What a bargain..
Considering I saw Crue back before they needed crutches for $8.00 (and that was cause they were opening for AC/DC) I think I'll pass...
It's sad that live concerts are so expensive and out of reach of younger kids.. I've seen my share of concerts so I don't mind as much...

I just listened to there first song released on the new album and I must say I liked it seems like they went back to Dr.Feelgood type sound on it which is cool for this day and age I think the song is a good song. I also heard whitesnakes new album and it took awhile to grow on me but kudos to them to its a good album. I pre bought my Crue tickets and I must say I am excited to see them and very unexcited to see the rest of the openers.
