I posted 4 out of the 5 songs from our upcoming EP on our myspace page. They are the final versions, so all flaws are there for good! I had a great time making the record, and i think the band did too. Our cd is out for duplication, and we should have it shortly. If you like what you hear on our page, it'll be just $5 for a cd. Come to the Feb 9th show @ 30 Something to get your copy. We appreciate any and all support. Thanks for listening!

I know I shouldnt do this, but since you are all the time pumping this band, putting your material out there for criticism, and I took the time to listen to the entire 4 songs, then Ill give you some constructive criticism.Team Transylvania wrote:forgot to mention...Im singing the end part on "Revenge".
Keith, your vocal was by far the best vocal on Revenge. In key, dynamic and on point. The singer is often flat/sharp and sings in the same register pretty much all the time...it was annoying to my ears..
Supernova has some serious tuning issues or conflicting chords between the bass and guitar. I really couldnt get past that to offer anything else.
My favourite song was What You Need. I especially liked the interesting timing of the guitar progression through the intro. Decent arrangement as well. Strongest song of the four.
This obviously was a home DIY recording and not a bad one. Good mix. However, for aprroximately $2-300, tops, you could have done the drums in a studio and processed and mixed yourself in your own. Would have made a big difference in punch (especially this style of music) and overall sound quality. The drums are the most difficult to get in a DIY studio. You know this already.
The downs: I am not trying to be hurtful, but the singer is the weakest link (audibly) in these songs. He hurt the tunes IMO, and dare I say he may hurt you live as well. Average creativity and arrangements. Watch the tuning.
The pluses: Keith can sing

Spend a little extra cash on recording the drums next time. Keith, maybe you could sing more. I think you guys are going in the right direction. I bet yall will get better and better. Good luck!

PS...I do have a pretty high reviewer rating on garageband.com. Im not trying to bust on anyone here. If you keep putting this out here on RP, then someone may as well be honest. I hope it was helpful.
