Thats a little expensive. It would be cool to have your guitar tune itself to open G tuning in 2 seconds and then switch back to tandard tuning for the next tune.
Doubt I'd ever buy one but I also stuck with cassettes till they were almost obsolete, Guess I'm not big on change.
Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.

this is actually on the new gibsons now. it is called the robot les paul and the robot sg. it probably weighs a ton and has alot of neck dive. wonder how good it is and how long it lasts before failing?

Yeah, I saw that also, I think musician's friend carries them, or maybe music123? I would think that they would tend to be neck heavy also, but they might be using a light material to deal with that issue. I think it's nothing short of a gimmick, and it will only cause problems, not only when it malfunctions, but also when the frets wear, and the nut wears, and gets grooves and the string snags or catches there.

Personally if I had a Gibson, insteadof this, I would get a Schaller fine tuner tail piece,Sperzel locking tuners, and a Graphtec nut for it, and be done. That's the current and accepted solution for Gibson's tuning prob.

This is probably aimed @ lazy people like collectors. But I can see the benefits while playing live, but come on man!
