Hell yeah, my drummer and I took off half a day today to get everything ready for the show tonight! Our boss and his wife are coming! how badass is that??
we better not suck, haha!!!!! ill get fired if i do. my boss is a former drummer. maybe Jason will just get fired
By the way, if you dont have plans for tonight, COME TO THE LOST AND FOUND!! formerly 'the lions den'. Its on the same street as Aldo's, just little before on the left. anyway, its an all age show, so bring senior citizens or 5th graders.
bands playing are: Samara, End Of The Sun, Plastered Bastards, & The Grimm. Doors @ 6pm. Show starts @ 6:45.
Also, all Turkeys and Jive Turkeys are welcome.

Senior citizens love loud music!
I remember we played this club one time, and this older lady wanted our business card and name. When Rob gave it to her, she said, "Good, now I know not to come here when you play." LMAO Chris Knapik was running us that night, and I always think that we're a few dbs louder than usual with Chris behind the board.

BTW, yesterday was my last day until Monday.

Oh my god thats funny. I bet you were thinking "man here comes a sweet private party gig" and then you were shot down!bassist_25 wrote:I remember we played this club one time, and this older lady wanted our business card and name. Stand back, I like to rock out.
Starting at 3pm today, I'm at the Emporium every moment it's open until Monday morning. I get Monday off, then Tuesday, I start at 8am and go until 8pm. And I'm part-time!
I've grown to actually like the Christmas rush... I get to hook the young'uns up with their first guitar, bass, drums, etc. How cool is that?--->JMS

Dude, thats hilarious, almost like the big thumbs down we got from the one dude in St Marys when we played "Devil Inside" by INXS. Blatant disapproval just makes you feel like shit.bassist_25 wrote:Senior citizens love loud music!

When parents say that they don't want to spend more than a few dollars for their kid's guitar because he might only stick with it for a week, I usually respond that it could also change their lives forever.
A Stella Harmony 3/4 size with 1/2-inch action at the 12th fret changed mine irrevocably... my dad bought it at a yard sale for a dollar, which I had to promptly pay back. I played it a minimum of 2 hours a day, and my fingertips would throb with my heartbeat afterward for hours!
I still have the guitar.------->JMS

Yeah they love it so much that when we played at Bliss Skateshop lin Lewistown last night somebody was bitching cuz it was rumbling his house (even tho you couldn't hear it outside much) and the cops came and told us we had til 8 to play and it was already like 7:40 and the band playing decided to play 2 more even tho us and Holosin had to play. So by the time we got our equipment ready us and Holosin had enough time to play 2 songs each. Gotta love the senior citizensMeYatch wrote:Senior citizens love loud music!

Funny how that works. We've had this situation happen to us also.EyesOfAnguishbassist wrote:Yeah they love it so much that when we played at Bliss Skateshop lin Lewistown last night somebody was bitching cuz it was rumbling his house (even tho you couldn't hear it outside much) and the cops came and told us we had til 8 to play and it was already like 7:40 and the band playing decided to play 2 more even tho us and Holosin had to play. Then the elderly people can't fuckin' hear ya when you try to speak softly to them from 2 feet away, yet they can be annoyed by almost non-existant noise coming from down the block. Go figure.

I remember when Burgi's was have a hearing to allow music out on the patio at night. Someone I know was at that hearing and said that one of the anti-patio people was complaining about the noise, yet at the hearing, he kept asking everyone to repeat themselves because he couldn't hear what they were saying.
Some people have no lives and just like to bitch. I wish some noise at night time was all that I had to worry about. I have real problems to deal with in life.
