For crying out loud, the summer was way too long. I so happy that it's finally October. The NHL season opened this past weekend. Of course, I plan to follow the Penquins. This should be an exciting & very interesting season. Staying healthy is obviously key for the Pens. They should beat the Canes. As far as going all the way, I'm leary to say that they will especially after I witnessed Ottawa skate rings around them in the first round last season. The Penquins need to step up in a big way to make a long playoff run. However, with their talented lineup, they may be able to show everyone a successful season. I'm looking forward to witnessing some magic.

Look for me, I'll be there!!!! Box Suite 124. 8)

Just one of the benefits of working for my company and being in NC. They own a box suite, and the RBC Center is 20 minutes from my house. Being in the south, there aren't a lot of hockey fans so I get tickets a few times a year. (Free tickets, VIP parking, catered food, ...) Life is good!

One of the bad things though is we don't get many of the Pens games on cable. I guess I'll have to buck up and get the Center Ice package this year!

Go Canes..... I mean, GO PENS!!!!!

(Come on, you think I'd flip on the Pens??? Although I am a Canes fan when they're not playing the Pens.)

Can't wait. Alot of notable sports figures are predicting Pittsburgh will take their 3rd Stanley Cup this year. Lets hope they didnt jump the gun with those predictions but taking on the last two Stanley Cup champions in games 1 and 2 of the season should be a tell tale sign of how the season will be. I think Sykora and Sydor will bring alot of talent and experience to a team full of allstars already. Been a long time since we saw the holy grail of hockey in the steel city! Sure would be nice to see it this year!
