Marshall 2203KK Kerry King

Kerry sent in his #1 JCM800 to Marshall to have it replicated for production, and he said that the only condition is that it will be a regular production, not a limited edition like the 2203ZW Zakk head. He said he wanted it to be available to all of his fans, not just collectors.

This head was built exactly like his #1, and it also has a switch that incorporates Kerry's 10 band EQ into it. Kerry adds alot to his mids to get his sound. The mids are pronounced so much that his 10 band looks like someone is giving you the middle finger, the way it looks.

This is supposed to be around $1,800-$2,000
This is probably THE modern Marshall to have. But I think I would rather have an un-modded original myself. And probably for the same price.
Without the gay tribal on the front also. I hate that shit. Almost as much as I hate flames.

I would love to check this out sometime. I'll probably get a hard on and have to sell my Rig on ebay to alleviate the 'ol Blue Balls.

I'm certainly no fan of Slayer, or KK, for that matter, but that's pretty cool. A lotta these kids gotta learn that the mids are where the volume and punch come from. It may sound great at home to scoop your amp, but run that through a PA, and it sounds like total dog ass. Just an aside, why in the hell do tube amps have to be so freakin' expensive!!!!?????

I'm not sure about the price either? Maybe the materials and labor costs?
We need to find a way to stick it to the man. Hear that Jim Marshall?

I love Slayer's guitar sound, especially Jeff Hanneman. He is always forgotten, and I like his sound better. Atleast he isn't whoring himself out like Kerry is.

The 'South of Heaven' sound was my Fav. of theirs.
I like that one alot.
And Metallica's Master of Puppets is another great sound.
And Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power.

I think it's mainly that we're (serious guitar players) are the dumbasses willing to shell out th 2K for "the all-tube sound". Ha! I found my way of fucking back at the man, and it's a $400 Line 6 POSxt! Oh, did I say POS? I meant POD.......

There's not a thing wrong with Line6 products. I've heard some that will shred some of the best Marshalls out there.

I guess there's always fools out there willing to pay out the ass for gear, that's why they price it like that, I guess.

I always see cool stuff and then look at the MSRP and go. 'oh shit, nevermind.......next!'

And used stuff is always a gamble, I hate buying from ebay without seeing it or hearing it, but it's a gamble you got to take sometimes, because of the high prices, and stores not carrying used gear that's worth anything.
