Rock For The Troops
MAN!!!!! am I ever blown away at the Talent of the Bands that were there Yesterday, I truly left at the end of the night with my Jaw Dropped, EVERY Band was Extremely Tight, and the Drummers were off the chart with there chops and the timing was flawless, Now I can see why I am having trouble getting into a band here, reality is I SUCK But I learned a lot, I learned how good i'm NOT, it was a VERY Humbling experience for me and I am TRULY GLAD I attended... Thank you to everyone I got to hang with, kevin Again Thanks you for turning me on to some REALLY kicking companies for Drum Gear Saluda Cymbals and Attack Drumheads are the BEST In the Market, and Bobby..... JESUS you are the Man on Drums...You Always impressed me and you continue to do so I could just watch you play all day, BUT not to take anything away from all the other drummers, maybe someday I'll be as good as you all I have MANY YEARS to put in the Jim to get there, I'm just glad there wasn't a jam I would have had to decline to play CAUSE I would have made a ROYAL Ass out of myself, just as I left with my Jaw Dropped you all would have left laughing after I played,......... Big Jim Thank you for hanging wit me, and JP Thank You for the stickers and hanging with me as well it's always a pleasure, ........so to the Rockpage Community of Musicians YOU ALL FU%^IN ROCK and I mean BIGTIME what I think I need to do is attend MORE events like yesterday.
Glad you enjoyed the event !
But a word of advice (as a musician and a drummer) . The kind of advice that gets spread around by every one involved with "Drum Night".
Don't ever get frustrated or intimidated when you see some one better than you. No matter how good you get, some one will always be better than you.
Be inspired ! Be inspired to work harder. That's why I love hanging with drummers like Bobby Hurricane, Rob RobTheDrummer , and Shawn and Aron Kimmel or Lisa. When I see them play , I can't wait to go home and practice.
Be inspired !

Every Band on Rockpage was invited (as long as they could keep the language clean). No one was turned away. Every band who did play, volunteered to do so.Gorr wrote:Yes it was a great show. Altoona needs to have more shows like that. There some many bands in the area that did not get to be there!
But you are right. There are a lot of great bands and plenty of talent in the area.

Word.......
Mark I have never even seen you play and wish I did, because I know you have determination because your going back to school to better yourself.
It works the same with the instrument. Drive, Inspiration, Passion, Practice.
Mark good luck with everything you do my brother drummer
Give the kids an instrument and let their minds explore!
