Does anyone know what happened to JW's Cozy Tavern, formerly The Ferris Wheel? We played there in June and expected to have a follow-up gig on Oct. 6th but it seems to have been closed for over 3 weeks now. Jim, the owner, is a great guy and really made the place nice. Hopefully everything is ok with them.
We (Homers Army) were booked there we had 3 bookings lined up and he called and cancelled all of them no reason was givin, he said to call and reschedule so I did and he gave me the old (he is busy call him back story) and he never did reschedule anything
heard rumors another well-known bar will follow suit shortly. the 'man' is waging war and bar owners are facing mounting pressure. its a jungle out there. drug dealers, bar fights, the ever looming dui, it's not your daddy's scene anymore

In Friday's Altoona Mirror there was an ad for Cozy's tavern that tuesday they had Live music so I went up there and they were closed. The phone number I had for them is disconnected.
