I use the DFH kits with EZDrummer, which is the simpler and cheaper version of DFH Superior. They sound absolutely fantastic. The hardest part is getting the rest of the track to sound as good as the drums!
EZDrummer is great for demoing. Or whole records. You can loop up a drum track in a minute once you get the hang of it. Then you can easily add little accents like splash hits and snare fills without having to be a MIDI guru.
