For The Drummers

Post by Hawk »

Young kid with great chops on his drum pad, just messin' around !

Someone on another forum said he was in a contest in Ireland and ranked the 9th best drummer in the world in his age group. The same guy said he's seen this kid play even better than this video.

Where do these kids come from!?!

It's really nice to see he puts some quality time into something worthwhile. I am sure he still logs serious hours doing other teen stuff (gaming, etc.) too, but that's some quality sticking.

Dig it Rob. That's straight core all the way. Dude is no doubt on the Wisconsin snare battery and probably has done a summer or two with DCI. You are right. That's like 6 hours a day or more for two weeks straight and your chops can get close to that as well. But who has that much time anymore? Just watch the Blue Devils or Cadets of Bergen County do the same thing in unison... Oh wait... Of course a clip of that would be You Tube as well... haha! The best part is at the beginning...

Speaking of Drum Corps, I miss seeing Drum Corps. I've been to many of the Eastern Finals they have had in Allentown. I remember a great trip to Hershey. I also went to two championships, one at Maryland University in DC, and one in Buffalo. I need to catch another one some year. They are some of the best live musical showcases you will ever see!
