How to be a good liberal
How to Be a Good Liberal
You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on
demand.
You have to believe that businesses create oppression and
governments create prosperity.
You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding
Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean Communists.
You have to believe that there was no art before federal funding.
You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by
cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by
soccer moms driving SUV's.
You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.
You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony
activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.
You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than
actually doing something to earn it.
You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the
Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of
the Constitution.
You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too
high.
You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more
important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee,
Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell.
You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial
quotas and set-asides are not.
You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very
nice person.
You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked
anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
You have to believe that conservatives telling the truth belong in jail,
but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.
You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag,
transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese
government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.
You have to believe that it's okay to give federal workers
Christmas Day off but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas."

WELL, may be pointless, but I’ll do this anyway.
"You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on
demand."
Actually, being Pro-Choice is more about a person’s right to choose what happens
with their own body. I may not like it, but it’s not my body. Though, I do understand
the point-of-view of those totally against it.
Capital punishment (Which I’m not totally against) is about whether killing
someone is a right we have as a society in consideration of another person.
"You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity."
This doesn’t really say anything.
"You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat
than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean Communists."
Well, in the case of North Korea, a Democratic administration handled the problem quite effectively
in reality. 2 Republican presidents fostered it, one through negligence the other through incompetence
(Yet both with the same name). In the case of China, they have them, have for decades, and we are in no
position to take them, away. SO…basically, this has nothing whatsoever to do with any liberal ideology.
In FACT, a LIBERAL ideology PREVENTED N.K. to have nukes. Hmm. Interestin'.
As for law-abiding citizens with guns, I am one. Though, I have little faith
in the competence of a lot of people who do have them.
"You have to believe that there was no art before federal funding."
No. No, actually, there was plenty and we’re all quite aware of that.
"You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by
cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by
soccer moms driving SUV's."
Actually, you have to believe what science and climatologists have proven
over what some people "choose" to believe based on nothing reality-based.
"You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural."
"gender roles are artificial"
Not necessarily, but what is meant by this is a bit vague.
"but being homosexual is natural."
I see no proof that it isn’t nor that I have any business to care.
"You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding."
No, actually you have to believe that federal funding to help try to find a cure for a horrible
disease can help save lives and a governmental system based on the idea that said government’s
responsibility to provide for the best welfare of it’s citizens should do so. OH! And finding
a cure that can be sent to poorer nations will help stave off wars, etc. not to mention would
probably be smiled upon by the God in which I assume you believe.
"You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow
qualified to teach those same kids about sex."
ACTUALLY, I think most teachers do a pretty good job and can do both and no one at kid's
homes doing either has been a pretty abysmal failure.
"You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony
activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do."
Generalizations. Though I do always find it odd that most hunters I know
DO, in fact, have very little regard for nature, preservation, keeping even
their local woods without their garbage.
"You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it."
Not at all.
"You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while
the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution."
The N.R.A. couldn’t care less about the constitution. It’s a business. If they had a viable point
they wouldn’t have to lie so much to get it across. One friend subscribes to hunting magazines
they put their schpeil in. Some of the stuff they print would be funny if so many people didn’t
believe it. As for the 2nd Amendment, I’m for it. I simply believe that you are dealing with
weapons and there’s no issue with having some regulation.
Oh, and in reality, the hated A.C.L.U. defends more cases on behalf of "conservative" issues
than "liberal".
"You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high."
Doesn’t really say anything and there’s no real point. In fact, because of
the tax cuts for the wealthy in this country the A.M.T. IS going to be raised
and it's Repubs who are doing (Jes like his papa). The Fed Chairman was going to announce
it last week but was told to hold off until after the election.
"You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more
important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee,
Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell."
Mmm, I know history quite well. Certainly not aware of anyone who believes Sanger or Steinem
are necessarily more important. That they have a place, sure, why not. Ah, and Robert E. Lee was
a traitor fighting
to uphold a reprehensible practice even he didn’t really support.
"You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not."
"standardized tests are racist"
No, no you don’t. What ou have to believe in is that everyone deserves a
good education and that the more people who do, the better we are as a nation.
Unfortunately, there are still times when quotas are necessary to ensure fair hiring practices. While
I don’t LIKE the idea, conceptually, until the entirety of this nations gets past it’s bizarre race issues,
they’ll have to have a place in some areas.
"You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person."
Don’t know. Never met her. She may be. Couldn’t care less if she does a good job.
"You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because
the right people haven't been in charge."
ACTUALLY, "socialism" has been quite (Switzerland, Netherlands, etc. are, in essence, democracies
with heavy elements of socialism…like us only done better).
Oh, and in many places where a new "Socialist"-based government came into power and it went against
U.S. business interest, we took them down. Check out the history of South America for several fine
examples.
"You have to believe that conservatives telling the truth belong in jail,
but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House."
Sex offender? That’s a far cry from any kind of truth. Uh…and someone has been lying constantly
on all matter of things and they’ve caused the deaths of thousands upon thousand of people. Oh, and
committed various acts of treason, etc.
"conservatives telling the truth"
When did that happen? Dang, that should have been big news.
"You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and bestiality should be
constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal."
"homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites should be constitutionally protected,"
It’s free speech. Yes, it should be.

"homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected,"
Well, take out the bestiality and, yes, it’s free speech. Yes, it should be.
I've never heard of anyone defending bestiality. Doesn't mean there won't be a right-wing minister
found in a compromising situation with a beagle here soon for all the flock to defend though.
"manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal."
Don’t know anyone who believes this. Do believe in the separation of church and state? Absolutely.
"You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese
government is somehow in the best interest to the United States."
Que? If China actually funded Demoratic candidates the discrepancy in spending between the parties
would be quite different. There's a pretty strong economy you know.. This sounds like something a
Limbaugh or Hannity clown would throw out there.
OH, but just so you DO know, Japan, China and North Korea hold massive amounts of our debt.
Without them, our economy is done.
"You have to believe that it's okay to give federal workers Christmas Day off but it's not okay to say

Que? If China actually funded Demoratic candidates the discrepancy in spending between the parties

OH, but just so you DO know, Japan, China and North Korea hold massive amounts of our debt.
Without them, our economy is done.

Mmm. no, actually, that’s not correct at all.

Well, it has all the factual errors to fit right into one.

You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on
demand.
HAWK : many liberals are against BOTH.
You have to believe that businesses create oppression and
governments create prosperity.
HAWK : All are for capatalism, but not $BILLIONS in cuts for the oil companies.
You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding
Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean Communists.
HAWK : what a joke LOL. All I heard was Clinton will take your guns away . Carter will take your guns away. Did They ? Shaow me the facts here Rob.
You have to believe that there was no art before federal funding.
HAWK :I do find it a shame that schools cut funding to the arts while increasing funds to athletics.
to believe that global temperatures are less affected by
cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by
soccer moms driving SUV's.
HAWK : Those enviormental waccos again. Oh by the way, there are fish in Lake Erie again. After polution killed most of them off.
You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.
HAWK : Gender roles ; easily influenced related to genetic abalities. Homosexuality ; Likeky in the genes (natural) often triggered by influences.
You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
HAWK : I doubt anyone would believe that. A little will show a fortune is being spent for AIDS.
You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
HAWK : Another joke for sure . Kids know about sex at an early age. Saying "Just say no" doesn"t work. They need to be taught about the realities of sex by a proper teacher.
You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony
activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.
HAWK : en hunters leave a lot of trash behind. Not to mention how much they love to shoot road signs.
Robert E. Lee,

You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial

You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very

You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked
anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
You have to believe that conservatives telling the truth belong in jail,
but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.
You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag,
transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

"You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on

Absolutely.
