Post by rreihart »

And just think, they were probably on the verge of breaking out in some band that talks about how horrible their life is. Then this!

That's ridiculous. If you have a corpse fetish, you don't have to go to the trouble of actually digging up a body. Just teach your dog to play dead, and away you go. Works for me. :?

I love the dead before they're cold
their bluing flesh for, ME to hold
cadaver eyes upon me see... nothing.

I love the dead before they rise
no farewells, no goodbyes
why, I never even knew your now rotting face!
While friends and loves mourn your, silly grave...
I have other uses for you darling.

Alice Cooper. Gotta love 'im.

Usually all of you guys say, "No, don't talk about other bands. That's mean. You have to have respect for everyone." Well here is my big fornicate you to everyone who has said that because you are hypocrites. The spelling is probably wrong on that but...fornicate emo and fornicate all of those who have stuck up for freedom of expression, because I hate cover bands and I hate emo! I have never said anything different.

You're welcome.

I still don't understand his point, but this is the correct grammatical syntax of his post.
If plain and proper English is what you seek, I am the purveyor of such. You're welcome.

Thank you again Capt. Grammar. I am intrigued by every rock pager's point of view. Without your translation I would be unfairly neglecting those views of the less educated. I salute you on your quest to provide all with an improved knowledge in English grammar.

Either that or he is just ignorant to the fact that the term Emo transcends a musical genre and he thought I was slamming Emo bands?

But, by the same token, I haven't ever been one of those people that says everyone deserves some kind of autmonatic respect just beacuse they play an instrument or write songs, etc.

Good points, though I got the joke when I read this thread. I like some music that would be termed "emo/screamo " (i.e. Dashboard Confessional, Thursday, Finch, Emery), and I thought this was a funny thread. Some people on here take themselves way to fucking seriously.

I thought he was talking about Emo (Phillips)...that freaky guy that sounds like Pee Wee Herman...or perhaps he is talking about Elmo..that little red thing from Sesame Street...and he just spelled it incorrectly.
