BEWARE Countryman Type 85 DI grows legs on JUNE 30th
In the recent past I did a show with an opening band from Rockpage this band left the show with a Contryman DI.
This Countrytman DI did not in fact belong to said band.
Many attempts to contact these people have been made and yet this item remains unreturned.
They did acknowledge having this item in one communication. At that time they had said they would get it to me. I haven't seen it.
They also have been forwarded my phone number to contact me. That hasn't happened!! They did indicate getting the phone number.
This DI was only 3months old quite a score. I do have all info to prove ownership of this item. Warranty paperwork registered with Countryman
invoice with costs for unit and purchase date. As well as all packing.
I have spoken with legal console and law enforcemnet about this unit.
I WANT IT BACK YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

Actually, the DI was only 1 month old, if that and it was only used once. I should know because I was the seller (had to part with it at the time).
I just bought another one and yes, they're not cheap. I'm glad to hear you're getting it back because it's a shame it even happened. Luckily this didn't turn into a case of one bunch of idiots ruining it for everyone.

Hey Buddy, you need to say what you mean.
I'm the "guy" you're hinting around about and what happened was a mistake and I contacted pelt via PM and Matt our drummer has E-mailed them several times about your box. Here's what happened. The Bass player for pelt gave it to me, telling me it was our bass players. Now I'm a singer and do not know one piece of bass equip. from the next, so I put it in the van. We have been trying to contact Pelt about this since two days after the show. If you specifically Pm'ed me on here or looked at our band page here and called us, or made an attempt to get this fucking box back that We absolutely would have no use for, which you in no way did besides this really uncool post you would already know we're not thieves.
Now all we know is how professional you are. Have a nice day.

Gentlemen,
It is unfortunate when these types of things occur. Often it is accidental, sometimes it isn't. What's important is that the said item was returned to its proper owner. I have gotten into a habit (which at times I get razzed about by bandmates) of labeling/marking name on items such as these,
that way it is obvious who it belongs to. I could mention the name of certain area band who is presently in posession of my Warwick Rockstand 5 guitar foldup stand (but I won't). This was accidently left at The Four Dees Lounge approximately a year ago after a show. I contacted the club the following evening, and it was gone. The said band was there that night. It just so happens that I went to a benefit show we were playing along with this bands months later. Behold, there it was on stage! Definitely my stand because it has my name on the side of one of the legs (in black permanent ink). In restraining myself, I did not bring it up that night in order to not cause a "scene" or conflict because it was a benefit show. I wanted to keep focus on the purpose of our being there. I have since let it go, although it does piss me off when people take things intentionally when they know it belongs to someone else. I hope they can live with their conscience, I can.

On a personal note I can see how it happens....I found a drum mike on a stage from their previous show a week later from a friend of mine and I knew who it was and took it on my part to see he got it back..(even tho it was better than my equipment!!)LOL...But thats how I am...it would bother me more eveytime i used/looked at it...I could never do that.
But I can say after playing with these guys above ,even when 5 bands were togeather , in a cluster #@% of stage changing at Aldo's..everyone left with their own stuff and it was a constant "Is this yours?" all night long...
These guys are the type that would give ya anything they had for you to get thru the night.
Not steppin on anyones toes but thought I'd put in a plug for my Bros!...(damn the ol "poet and don't kno it" comes to mind!)
All is good so end-o-post !
