I use an IEM when I play. What Kind are you looking to buy? I honestly don't know how I played without them. I sing and play rhythm and it's helped my vocals out so much, I have so much more vocal control since im not yelling to hear myself. Everything is crisp, clear and clean. I usually run lead, bass, kick, snare and hihat thru mine. I used to go home with a pounding headache after shows from standing right in front of the drumkit and then also having to blare the monitors to compete with them. I have a basemodel shure psm200, but it still works wonders and i'd recommend that again in a second. They come with shure e2 headphones and they are noise cancelling. I can keep the volume in the headphones at a low volume bc they cancel out ALL noise. I keep the volume very low and im amazed at how clear and precise the sound remains. Hope that helps

Actually, I was trying to do some market research. I'm a production provider and love it when I don't have to drag in wedges and amps.
