wireless unit question

Post by travisw »

ok i know this is gonna sound like im stupid or something but i have a question regarding a wireless unit for my bass. Ok here it is on the transmitter i guess its what it is the part that hooks on the guitar mine hooks onto my strap because its the clip style but anyway is it possible to get a new jack put on the transmitter because mine is shot or do i need to buy a whole new wireless because mine is like 10 years old cant find just the transmitter for it i would think you could just cut the end off and get a new one put on common sense would tell me that but maybe im wrong. but if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

In most cases, you should be able to replace the plug... but bear in mind, if it cuts in and out, it's probably not the plug, it's the cable that's intermittent. If the cable's long enough to do so, cut off 4-6 inches, and solder a fresh plug on, if it's not long enough, you'll need to replace the whole cable. Not that big a deal, any decent tech can do it in a short time, for cheap.-------->JMS
