Libertarians do not deny the need for government, its the degree to which we need government that is our concern.

What we need is minimal but effective regulation and anti-trust laws. Present law is outdated and should be revised to regulate not only the industrial era, but the information era as well. It would be a pleasant change.
The best quote I ever heard is very similar to the first point of Lonewolf. (paraphrasing from Walter Williams, PhD) ---What people do with their money is make economic decisions. That is what the economy is. When government takes our money, they make political decisions our money. Which one is better for the economy? Three hundred million economic decisions or 500 (politicians only interested in getting re-elected) political decisions?
