Go figure! Through it all I am able to find talent and goodness in alot of different styles! U2 sucks too! I have even been known to enjoy other genres of music! Go figure!
Ditto tornandfrayed, but I don't think it was the Stones' best performance...it's entirely possible they were competing with the noise of the crowd. It was great to see them still rockin'!
It would make sense to have American bands perform at something only American Teams play in, that's why they do not do it.
The Allman Brothers Band would be an a-may-zen choice!
Bottom line: The game was played in Motown. IMHO ... the music should've been provided by Motown artists. For me, this choice has nothing to do with how old the Stones are or how bad they might suck.
Extremely bad move on the NFL's part and a big slap in the face to the city of Detroit.

I agree with that. That was what I had actually said at halftime.
Allen Cox (105.9 Pittsburgh morning show) had a funny line about watching the Stones at halftime:
"Man, Keith Richards looked like if he fell over all that would be left is a pile of dust."
I don't know who the hell decides this shit , but it has blown more than not. At least they are having rock bands, though. as for this year I was so excited to see the stones, that Me and my full belly took a nice nappy!
I dunno....If I can move like that when I'm a hundred and twenty-five....
I'll be grateful.
I'm not the biggest Stones fan , by anyone's account....but you gotta hand it to 'em for still rockin' after all these years....
