It used to be Stainless Steel Tattoo on Philly Street, but I heard that the guy running the show ran away. Anyway, I'm thinking of adding on to an existing tattoo, and I liked one of their designs. I can't say that I've seen much of their work first hand.
That is / was ran by Jimmy "Roach" former guitar player with Bitter Route ( a good J-Town based Southern Rock Band ) He is noted for his Tattoo's so I would say you're good to go there. Not sure about the story of him taking off though.
I went to IUP, so I'm familiar with Roach's name. I've heard that Roach and the Twisted guys were having territorial pissings, so maybe you've got something there.

On a side note, I heard that Roach's son has a band that plays at the Rayne Drop Inn every now and again. I don't know the name.

I don't think the spinal cord hurts as much as you guys are making it out to. I've got a tattoo on my lower back that goes over the spine, and my kidneys, I've got one on each shoulder (getting them touched up on the 29th) and one that's in the middle of my shoulders, over my spine.

The most painful part for me was on the lower right side of my back over my kidneys. Mother f-er that hurt. The Right shoulder one hurt a bit more than the left.

I'm good with pain, just afraid of needles. If I can do it, you can do it. I'm not saying they didn't hurt, they freakin did! However, it's not as bad as some would have you feel.

Best way for me to put it,

Did it hurt? Yes.
Would I do it again? Yes.
Am I some sick fuck who likes pain? Hell no!
