Actually, I think it would do pretty well for the scene in some aspects. Like Colton said, there could be bars and such with a permit for smoking up inside. That'd be rather funny to see... Walk in, get a full-on high after 5mins, watch a band play, be totally baked just off the contact by the end of the night
I'm sure that they'll have separations of sorts soon as they make it legal. It may fit under the Tobacco laws, where you can't do it indoors at most places
I didn't even consider the contact buzz. That'd be like drinking other people's beers.
I dunno about this whole smoke-bar issue. On one hand, it would probably de-motivate the scene overall... on the other, an attitudinally-adjusted audience is more apt to actually listen to the music at some point. Say what you will about the Demon Weed, but it agrees quite well with music-listening in general. I'd just be afraid aggressive music would lose it's edge.
I think pot-smoking should stay out of the bars, maybe. If you brought it inside, you'd scare part of the audience away, because not everybody wants to get a contact buzz, or be around potsmokers. At least now, you can go to a bar and not drink, I do it all the time.--->JMS
It's kinda funny, this whole thing. Just when DUI rates are through the roof, and the government is cracking down on smoking; they are thinking about making pot legal- something that fucks you up (DUI) and is smoked to achieve the high...
It truly is a fucked up world out there. I guess there would be DUI laws on marijuana. They would come up with some kind of test for it.
PA does have DUI marijuana laws. The penalties are the same as the highest tier alcohol level, which is > 0.25. This usually happens when someone gets pulled over and the cop smells pot in their car.
The test is a standard urinalysis, which can detect for up to 30 days and sometimes more. The test isn't really accurate because of this window, but there isn't a test for actual marijuana intoxication, only for the metabolites in urine.

Hence why the potatoe chip test would have more construct validity than the urinalysis.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

HAHAHAHAHA ! Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude, I have the Munchies, maaaaaaaaaan ...
The Pennsylvania State Police test blood THC content in the same way they test Blood Alcohol Content... they draw a blood sample at the nearest hospital. ANY amount of THC, which is a controlled substance, is illegal in PA. Don't ask me how I know. --->JMS
