Of course, as my username may suggest, Chevelle's "Wonder What's Next", as well as TOOL's "Undertow", "Nirvana Unplugged in New York"(great music to go to sleep to). I also listened to alot of A Perfect Circle, Zwan, Incubus, and Linkin Park this year among many others.

Chevelle,
Did you know there's a "hidden" track on UNDERTOW? It's track 69.

I can't seem to put Mudvaynes's new album down. It also has a one hour DVD included. I think that they are a band that got a bad wrap with their first video and the face paint. People took them as another "face paint gimic" band. Take it for what it's worth... You can never go wrong with a Tool album! I also thought that The Used put out a killer album this year. Finally, huge thank yous to all of the Staind albums.

I also just recently picked up cd's from Sloth, Smile Empty Soul, 3 Days Grace, Sevendust and Static X. On the local front I nabbed Pivot's three song demo.

INDEED!! it takes forever to get there, but it is well worth the wait. TOOL displays again with that track just how unusual they really are. I love all their albums but their is just something about Undertow. Of course Lateralus was amazing as well.

I'm actually in limbo right now on this one. I don't even know the last time I put something on to listen to it, JUST to listen to it. Usually when a disc is spinning, I'm learning that tune. If I do get on a kick to listen to something, it's more on the production end. I'll try and pick a song apart to get an understanding of everything going on and see the angles the artists and producers are coming from, as well as the instruments and where they lay in a mix. What's spent the most time in my CD player, I'd have to say our CD....Well, it's more like on our recording system at the time, but after it came back from the mastering house, that CD is what I've been listening to. I just hope it holds to the "industry standard" as far as quality. As far as the songs, I'm content with how they came out.

The new Joe Strummer album, "Streetcore" is fantastic. It's a shame it's his last one, I have all 3 and each one is better than the last. Also, the Stones' "goats head soup". It always gets a bad wrap, but "Silver Train" and "Star Fucker" are classic songs. The new Rancid album gets played a lot, and I also got a double Robert Johnson Cd and a Hank Williams Sr. double that are both amazing.

Dreamtheater & Fates Warning have spent alot of time in the player this year, as well as alot of Pennsylvania Bands.... the Clarks, Badlees, Isle of Q, Shadow Gallery, and Solution AD
Unfortunately, with all of the driving I do, I find myself listening to alot of Talk Shows.... at least till I can't handle the B.S., I will NOT listen to any radio station that has a music format for obvious reasons
