I can't fucking stand these scene kids.
The wigger ones are just as bad.

I almost don't want to tell people I listen to punk or hardcore anymore because this is what they think of, fuck.

This still doesn't make mullets any better.

Sanchez, same thing for 'Metal'. Shit just aint the same anymore.
When I tell people that I listen to Metal, they say "you listen to Slipknot, and System of a down?"
I say no I listen to Deicide, Sabbat, Wintersbane. That pretty much ends the conversation. Everything is a whore nowadays. Why is that?

You guys say you hate scene kids.....YOU DONT HAVE TO SEE THEM EVERY FUCKING DAY! lol jk

I went to see Kiss and Skid row in 97. I was seven years old. When i was in 6th grade i discovered metal and started growing my hair and wearing Slipknot T-shirts and Converse. I was constantly mocked for the shoes and the hair. Everyone said it was a phase. 6 months later is when the whole "Yellow Card/Good Charlotte shit started. And converse became the "popular shoes". Every single person i went to school with then has become "emo" or "hardcore". Here i am 4 years later wearing the same shit...only a tad bigger. lol and they call me "gay". I'm not the one wearing my sisters pants.

Kids that dress like chicks or dead hookers are not "hardcore". They are what we folk call "Douche Bags".

and metalchurch....I listen to Slipknot

LMFAO!

old sKool offered a witty saying at the beginning of Sunday's gig, but unfortunately, none of us remembered it at the end of the night. Therefore, this is my new sig for the week!

Randy Rhoads wore women's jeans and nobody seems to say anything about him.

Randy Rhoads could actually play his guitar, so he could have threw on a dress for all I care. That guy could lay down some serious shit back in the day. Why fuck with him? He's gone anyway, let him be.

The point I was making is it doesn't matter what a person wears or doesn't wear. Their ability as a musician is what matters.

Exactly right! I don't care what bands wear or how they look, it's the music that matters.

I don't make it a point to try and look like people to be trendy, as I'm sure most of us don't.
You're right, if you got the shit to back it up then no one can touch you. If you can't play in the first place, then you're gonna get ridiculed. Looks don't make the performer.

KISS looked cool, but that is one band that I never saw what the hype was all about, sure they were before my time, and I wasn't there at the 'moment'.

In my opinion, they were horrible musicians, with bad production. Selling their image, and people were buying.
Sorry KISS Army members.

I like their one song called 'Tears are Falling' but that's it.
