~*~The excitement of getting flashed~*~

Post by esa »

I wanted to throw an idea out here and see if anyone is interested in it.

As of late, some of you might have noticed some short person flashing you.. that is, taking camera pics of you when you're playing. These past few months, I've been noticing quite a few of my snaps going up on websites and various other things. That's when some people started asking, "Well, how much are you charging for them? I'd like copies." I would be lying if I said that I wasn't flored. I was.

I'm being encouraged by a ton of people to get around and do this. So the question I'm posing is this: Are any bands interested in "hiring" an outside person to take shots of them for PR and promo pacs, web site additions, and pictures (to send home to momma 'cuz she is soooo proud of you!)?

I've been told by several of the bands I do shots for, that they're all excited that I was there because most of them don't have any way to get their hands on a digital camera. They're happy with the photos I'm turning into them and I've been told to keep coming back.
And if any of you are interested, let me know. I'll be able to send or show examples.

Any thoughts on this? I'd love to hear them.

When I saw the title for this thread, I thought you were talking about the other kind of "flashing". I guess that goes to show that my mind is in the gutter.

The photo idea is cool. If there seems to be a market for it, try it out. I would stick something in the "Services Available" forum.

Muah ha ha. My evil plan of "mixed wordology" worked! I should be in the commercial industry.

I am going to do that, but I just wanted to get an honest vibe from the guys here first. I respect alot of the opinions presented here.
