This is very quick and interesting, and IMO accurate.

Fred Thompson didnt make the list, so for me it wasnt very accurate. But interesting though.

Very cool test!
I tied for both Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. I guess that shows my libertarianism with liberal social leanings. Funny, McCain scored at the bottom of my list, and I've always been a big McCain fan. Unfortunately, his recent siding with everything pro-Bush and pro-status quo GOP as of late has definitley lost my vote. I still respect the hell out of the guy though, but I don't think that trying to come off as Bush-lite is going to help him in this election. Whether it's a Republican, Democrat, or independent, the person who's going to take this election is going to be a moderate or "classically" conservative.

Ron Paul might not be such a long shot anymore. Yesterday RP came in first place with 65% of a New Hampshire straw vote (taxpayer group) and second in a Georgia straw vote a few days ago. His fundraising for the second quarter places him 3rd, ahead of John McCain.
And don't forget, he did get the Colbert bump!

Okay, if you press me I'll deny it, but I've looked at Ron Paul fairly closely... and I'm impressed. I caught a radio interview on Alan Colmes show, and he's the first politico I've found in a long time who really, genuinely seems independent... no party-line propaganda, no lockstep with either far wing... and actual ideas that make sense.
At this point, he's still a long, long shot, but I like what I've heard, and at the very least, his voter support in the backroads and alleyways is impressive enough to shake things up in '08. His presidency would be a big F.U. to the current losers. Although, if he wins, what will UCJoe and I fight about?
Speaking of losers, I believe anyone who supports the Iraq War, and/or wants anything other than deportation of illegal immigrants, is currently serving their last term in office. What do you think?------>JMS

Illegals need to get the fuck out. I don't even care about the war anymore, Bush fucked that up pretty bad. It could have gone right if they would have taken it the right way.songsmith wrote:Okay, if you press me I'll deny it, but I've looked at Ron Paul fairly closely... and I'm impressed. If anyone is interested, there is now a local Meetup group to support Ron Paul. This guy is not getting big support from corporations, media or any lobbyists. He is truely the grass roots candidate.
