Rehearsal Spot

I wasn't too sure what to put this under so I just ran with it here....
We just recently lost our rehearsal spot, and have been looking for a few weeks and have been coming up empty. We thought about a storage unit, but most of them down here in good ol' bellwood don't have power. And we are trying to avoid them anyway. So any other suggestions? Anyone know what we can do? We are running out of options!!! Please Help!!!

Sounds like you speak from experience. I can only extrapolate from stepping in dog pee, and cow dung doesn't sound fun at all.

stay away from a friend's family owned "abandoned" house

One of our last Killjingle practices consisted of me dropping a kitchen table upside down on a bat sleeping on a floor. We later found out that there were bats sleeping in the practice room (the former living room of this house) Sounds cool; but it actually was PRETTY DAMN DISGUSTING!!! There were baby bats hanging off of our cabinets and drums... NOT GOOD!!!

I wanted to take a bath in gasoline after that experience...

Im not sure what to tell you. Finding and maintaining a good place to practice is one the hardest things about playing in a band. FedUP played in four different places within a year before Matt bought his house. We got burned on the storage unit big time. Sanchez is right, you would be wise to stay clear of them. But wherever you go make sure you get your equipment insured, renter's insurance doesnt cost that much, and it's worth it if something terrible happens. We looked into it, but never got around to getting the policy. The insurance would have bought us new instruments after we were robbed, as it were, it was six months before we played another note together. It was a very long six months of regret and remorse. Take advice form Carl Mauldin "DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!"

Yeah Don, that would suck. I still feel bad for you guys even though you told me how long ago. My guitar and amp are things to me that are not replaceable, so insurance is a damn good idea for anyone. I have renters insurance, and my stuff rarely leaves my living room. I got it just for that.
Reminds me, I have a job for someone if they want to split the money?

Thanks for the offer six string, but we are gonna need something for during the week and on weekends...
And as for the barn...don't you think the cow dung would really help the acoustics in the place....f*Ck yea!!!
