Dream Theater Show

Post by RobTheDrummer »

Incase any of you guys missed it, the DT show in Greensburg last night was just unbeleivable. It was the best show I've ever seen! They were tight and the sound was incredible. They played a big range of tunes and had three screens that added to the show. Simply breathtaking and I can't even pick out a particular "great" moment, because it was all excellent. Next time they come around, make sure you see them. You will not regret it, oh and the tix were only $40.00!!!

Yea, killer show. Petrucci absolutely blew me away. Very cool place, too. I talked to people from Pitts., N.Y., Ohio, and Va. I had first row, balcony, center. Great view.

I was orchestra center, row E seat 7. Just dandy. Anywhere you were in that place would have sounded just awesome. I was right behind the guy that had the liscense plate from virginia.

I wasn't sure whether or not to go see them when they came around where I live. I decided not to, I think I should have. But my question is... Do you think it takes a musician to really enjoy Dream Theater? Most people here are musicians so alot think they rock, as do i, but the average joe might get bored and confused on 20min prog rawk songs.

rawk!

At first, I though Dream Theater was only for musicians. But I've converted about 5 of my friends over to them. If you insist that they are the most talented band ever constructed, they will give it a chance. Anyone who is into metal, musician or not, can find something in DT.

I went to the show with Rob and my brother (moondoggy3) and it was just insane. If you haven't seen them live yet, catch them the next time around. You owe it to yourselves as musicians to see this band live.
My favorite band can do better unison solos then your favorite band.

That DVD is like porn for musicians man! I find something new that gives me chills and makes my jaw drop every time i watch it.

The concert was the same way. May the Lord smite those who missed it!

I saw a lot of people at the show that were just jamming out, and I overheard a guy in the bathroom saying he's never heard of these guys before, but they rocked. (assuming he just went to the concert for the hell of it) You don't have to be a musician to love their stuff, you just have to love music. If they were pushed like half of the hip-hop idiots out there, they would be just as popular.
