New Megadeth

Post by metalchurch »

I just finished pirating this. After listening to it the whole way through, i must say, I'm very impressed with the direction of their music. Sound's like a more matured version of Rust in Piece. Lots and lots of Shredding going on here. Dave is the only original member, yet the music retains the Thrash formula that is unmistakably his. I will be buying an original copy of this one for sure.
Anyone into this genre should seriously check it out.

Awesome. Love MegaDeth and always have, except for Risk. But, everyone gets a mulligan. I'll have to get this.

Just finished downloading it and also listening to it. Very impressed with the new material. I love the older Megadeth and it seems to have that vibe to it.

I'm going to have to give this a few more spins. I'm really underwhelmed by this record. It sounds forced and contrived. The tones are nothing short of boring and the songs just don't seem on the same level as Rust In Piece.

Maybe I'm just the odd man out since I really don't like the new Rush record either.

saw them in Cincinati on the 8th. Nothing short of amazing...Heaven & Hell (Dio, Geezer, Iommi, Appice) were flawless as well. Best concert I've seen in quite awhile. RJD is just so damn spot-on. It's refreshing to hear someone that still has it after all these years. Loved it!

He has something of the sort. He actually had to relearn how to play everything, because his hands were that messed up. He had an instructor show him the correct way to finger some of his chords and arpeggios. Dave said, he knew he was playing wrong, but after all these years he just kept doing it the way he was.

This album really kicks ass, probably the best metal album so far this year.

He actually got drunk and passed out on his hand and when he woke up it was practically dead from the wrist down. He had to rehab it for like a year then re-learn how to play.

Megadeth is one of the best bands, ever ... I'm still kinda sad that friedman left though.

I love the Friedman era Megadeth. This might be a new beginning for Megadeth. I am still excited about this album. This is the best Megadeth in many years that's for sure.

Guys with the talent of Friedman don't just show up on your doorstep. I was really surprised when he joined Megadeth. He actually fit in really well, though. I saw them 2 weeks ago and they were really tight but the new guy is no Friedman.
