Flight 19- rock for the troops

Post by mjb »

Man, what a great time! Flight 19 tore it up at the bullpen last night. it was a big night for the band, celebrating their 300th show + cinco de maio(sp) + ROCK FOR THE TROOPS and the band didn't disappoint. they put on a great show and had the crowd fired up! we got some great footage of their original material for the dvd and some greally great well wishes from a very enthusiastic crowd, also for the dvd. we also got alot of signatures on the banner and the band raised a whopping $230.50 due in part to some of our on-site volunteers Karen and Bonnie. they went around with the drum in the third set to collect donations and you just couldn't say no to these two. Thankyou girls, you were awesome!

Robthedrummer stopped by and lent a hand. thanks for counting those 5 dollor bills at the end of the night, i had way to much wild turkey to be conting by 5s at 2am

Sott, BT, Darrin, Tim, John, Tom and KC, you guys were great! thankyou for supporting RFTT. I had a blast. you guys are a class act. congrats on your 300th show!

c-ya May 12th at City Limits for the next RFTT with ECHO CHAMBER

thanks again to everybody that came out in support of our troops!

Mike.

It was great meeting ya man! I had some fun last night. I threw in that last buck to make it 130 instead of 129. :D

I wished I could have made the gig ! Thanks Mike for running the RFTT end of it ! Thanks to everyone who helped out .

I told Mike, "You're gonna love this band and their crowd" ! Sounds like he enjoyed it.

Flight 19........THANKS !!!!!!!!

BTW Shawn played for Vs. The Earth Friday night. Eliot was sick. Shawn said he had a great time !

I'm back in town for a short break from training, and glad to hear that the F19 show went so well! Again, huge thanks to the whole "Flight Crew" for taking the time to help us out in our efforts and I'm glad the show went well! Also, thanks to mjb for stepping up while Hawk and I were out of town (and in my case, still will be for another week.)

I'll be back in Altoona for good next weekend. If anyone has any questions regarding RFTT, contact Hawk, and he knows how to get ahold of me if anything comes up. I'm leaving for Mechanicsburg again Sunday night, and I'll be returning Friday night. And no, I won't be out and about tonight, I haven't seen my family in 2 weeks.
