im not trying to connect any dots other than the fact that UCjoe was only showing one side of the spectrum, in showing Democrats in their hypocracy without showing the other side as well..

fact is, republicans are hypocrits as much (if not more) than democrats on certain issues... religion and sexual practices with little boys just happened to be the first issue that came to my mind. if you honestly don't believe this to be true.. perhaps you can arrange a meeting with mark foley via myspace.. or perhaps you can talk to father john goeghan... well you would have to have his body exumed (spelling?) before speaking with him..

Whether you are talking about war in Iraq or against anti-USA Islamic factions (al-quaida, et.al.), they are now one and the same and are not winnable by the conventional definition without resorting to genocide. I don't believe this is an acceptable course of action under U.S. policy.

That leaves us with 2 options:

1. Continue to keep them at bay on their soil. This includes access to significant numbers of intelligence assets on the ground in their territory gathering information about terrorist plots.

or

2. Withdraw and hope that pre-2003 intelligence asset levels can foil most plots on American soil. When the terrorists hit us again, we would then retaliate against them....if we can find them.

Which one do you like?

I posted the link because it is not republicans or conservatives who are pushing the global warming bullshit down our throats. It is libaeral democrats who have taken global warming as their new religion. Name a republican or libertarian running for president today who is molesting young boys. Freebird is a great song.

I think we should have clean air and less pollutants. But I also think global warming is not a "mad made" disaster. I don't like the fact that politicians use this to gain political points, especially something based on junk science.

well basically here it is in a nutshell..

scientific reports can speculate that we're heading for global warming based on CO2 outputs and levels in the past 50 years and for the next 50 years... but in the same sense, scientific and climatological reports state we're entering a 100 year "cooling period". weather goes in cycles and patterns -- hence the reasons we have had several "ice ages" including the new highly publicized "mini ice age" that took place from the 1600s through the 1800s...

fact is, no matter how you slice it though -- we need to be more responsible about our own transgressions and actions with nature. We do only get one shot at earth, and if we fuck it up.. game is over. Do I feel it's a massive issue today? Yes I do... but do I feel that some people being fanatic over it is going to score them more attention that they have received in the past? No... I don't.

No but, seriously, this is an important issue. The wife and I have started recycling everything we can and we've gone to the local post office and added a recycling bin for the junk mail which we empty daily. It's about the best we as individuals can do. I'm not about to paint the Earth on my chest and run naked through a presidential talk screaming "Save the PLANET!" so recycling will have to be it.

My fiance's Grandfather, never used deodorant. He said the body releases impurities through the sweat glands. And wearing anti-persperant and deodorant would only trap those impurities in. He used to wash three times a day, so he didnt stink. He had degrees in Chemistry and Botany and was also a master carpenter. He lived to the age of 93, and was on no medication at the time of his death. His dog jumped on the back of his legs, he fell and hit his head. That how he died. True story. A bit off topic, but interesting none the less. So you're in good company Bob!
