Anchor Inn

Post by grimmbass »

All,

I know that this is somewhat off-topic (i.e. it involves a show). Grimm will be jamming at the Anchor Inn around Glendale Lake this Friday....we will be the first heavy/original-oriented band they've every hired there. We're expecting a good turn-out....

We're hoping that we (and other like-minded bands) can create a draw "up the mountain" for original acts...please come out to the show and support us if you can. If we can show the owner that original metal (or any kind of music) can draw people (and sell beer), maybe we can foster a small (but vital) scene for all of us "mountain folk".

The Grimm thanks all for love and support over the past 7+ years! Help us make the Anchor Inn "original friendly" this Friday!

Cheers,

I just did a show this past weekend at the Anchor.

It's cool to see bands expanded to other clubs and playing different kinds of music. Let's get some entertainment up here in Houtzdale, though.

Forgive my bluntness, but I agree with you 100%. This post is off-topic and belongs in the "Upcoming Shows" department.

No offense to you guys, but the general discussion board is getting way too much plugging lately.

What would happen if we ALL started posting gigs on general discussion?

Then we could all start posting general discussions in the upcoming shows forum. It would be totally surreal. Kind of like that twilighty show about that zone.

That zone was cool but a little outer my limits, and surreal can be a good place for contemplation! But when I am at the Anchor Inn this Friday night (gallery) I will be in the zone! The Grimm zone that is!

KNOCK, KNOCK

Who's there?

SURREAL

Surreal who?

SURREAL KILLER. YOU'RE DEAD

Sorry, guys, it's just that I've been waiting for years to use that joke.
I'll shut up now.

Grimm guys: Great job and I certainly had a great time. Great material and thanks for the autographs. Let's do it again.
