No Keith, it's because you said they are better than Any local band Ever. Did it ever occur that Typo was a "local" band at one time? There is a lot of talent everywhere. Just because some bands get breaks, doesn't mean they are any better than everyone. Sure, you can have your opinion, that's good man. But don't knock the little guy like yourself and others. I bet you would really enjoy the Embalmed, so be cool to those boys.

Rob: I know he wont like The Embalmed cause local metal musicians either sit in their cars or talk about the bands that are on the stage rather than listen to em. It doesnt mean a shit to me who likes us. Dont get me wrong... I want ppl to come and support us and hope for us to have a future in this business, and as I have said a million times before if I ever had the chance I would introduce all the local talent to whoever was interested.

I only been a TON fan since 1992.

BTW this aint about the fact u love TON... cuz we all know know Bags loves Overkill, dudes cream over Dream Theater, its all about your local band comment...

sorry, i cant say my favorite band is any band im playing in. i give just as much as you do. i mean, we really cant debate who gives more to their band. thats just gay. anyway, despite loving any band i play in, i still have a favorite band outside of that, as you know. that will never change. even if i were to get signed, TON still fave. name one person who doesnt think their fave band is the best.
i make myself an easy target i guess.

so, now, i dont have the gear to talk to you. haha. just pretend i dont exist and dont take me seriously @ all.

Bag does love Overkill, but Bag also goes out every weekend and has a kick-ass time with local bands! I love going to see Bad Daze, Scream, Way Down East, Cyphin, , et al....

Does anyone from H8ball post here? I'd really like to see those guys play a whole show. They were kick-ass at City Limits on St. Patty's day. I don't see a band page for them here....

In addition I would have to say that the best show I have seen this year was Lies Inc, Embalmed and Choking Faith at Aldo's. Lots of great energy and great bands.

I have been with rockpage for a good while now, and check in at least once a day. I can honestly tell ya the reason why I have only made a few posts is:

1. the negative, insulting bullshit ya get when voicing opinions
2. dumbass topics. (usually to start shit)
3. Retarded rockstar attitudes. (you all know who ya are!)
4. My favs: a. The everlasting fight, "cover vs. original band."
b. "I paid my dues!" Wanna know when ya paid your dues?...
...Compare your musical career with "The Hurricanes"

The reason why I keep coming back??.....Hell, I dont know. Maybe its because I'm not playing anymore, or I'm bored, or I like finding out what the bands are up to, or Musician wanted ads.

Although I dont agree with some of the things "spellboundbymetal" has to say, or some of his crazy ideas, I do however believe the way he voices his opinions are taken the wrong way. I dont know, maybe I'm retarded and need punched in the face to see it more clearly. I do know that somtimes I feel like expressing in somwhat the same way, but dont because of the fear of the overall outcome. So sad. Its no wonder some of you feel that the "scene" sux! Truthfully, I've listened to lots of the songs some of you have recorded/posted for all to hear and believe, in MY OPINION, are horrible and lacking structure! But who the fuck am I? I'm not the best songwriter/musician in the world!! Again, I wont post my thoughts anymore for fear of certain DEATH! If I've created somthing, and you tell me it sucks, I then ask why?? What is is lacking? What do you hear? Gimme input! You might be a great player, and think that what you have created is the absolute best, but seriously, without the "listener's" point of view, it could turn out to be nothing!

All I can say now is, Before you say that whatever "spellboundbymetal", "I" or even some of you may say is the reason the "scene" has fallen to ruin, think about this......
If we all would only open up and let all opinions in, without assuming we are out to be hurtfull, we all could become better musicians, better friends and a stronger force to help build that "local music scene" we all desire!

And also don't forget that the Lies Inc, Embalmed, Choking Faith show raised over $500 for the American Rescue Workers.

The show is being edited as we speak. I have come up with a really interesting and entertaining way to present this! I will let everyone know when it will air!

The American Rescue Workers show and Moorefest were personal favorites of mine to be involved with. I hoped someone walked away feeling like that had the potential to be a show of a year.

I regret I havent seen Fedup yet, cause Jason told me they are very entertaining to watch. I have to make it a point to see their show this yr. I have a slight prob with alcohol when I go out to see bands. I try my damnest not to drink, but I think metal and beer go together like cheese and wine. Not to mention its a 50-60 min trip to most places in Altoona from my house. Nor can I afford a DUI... too much to lose!
