Speakers?

Post by CMOR »

Does anybody know of a way to find out what the specs are on an unmarked speaker. I'm trying to recondition some PA cabs, and I'd like to know what I'm working with. They have what appears to be an ID number on them(181 50740 527), but I don't know what it means. Any help at all would be great, even if it's just pointing me in a direction.

Sorry, they're on the drivers. I think the cabs are home-made. Each cab has two 15s and horn. At least the speakers are matching.

I looked at one of of my reconing catalogs and could find no listing matching that number. At least one of my suppliers has thousands of speakers listed like that. I only checked the listings for 15 inch drivers.

Why not post a pic or send me one. That would be a big help. Posting a pic would be the way to go.

If the number appears stamped on the speaker cone that is the part number for the cone.

I got everything working good and took the cabs out for a practice run over the weekend. Turns out they can't handle live kick drum. I think they sound pretty good for DJ work, but that's not my bag. I'm thinking about trying to sell them instead of wasting space here. If you know anyone interested send them my way.
Thanks
Steve
