What Annoys you the Most (i know, pet peeve)
... Too lazy to search for the pet peeve post -- but this goes beyond pet peeves...
What annoys you the most (right now)?
- For me, it's 2 things currently... I'll list them off as follows..
1) People who post on message boards which allow signatures at the bottom of each post, yet disregard that little convenience and end each post with "Cheers!" or some ridiculous fucking gay ass ending like that...
- Come on. How do you not get tired of ending EVERY post with the same thing? I mean... how could you seriously be having the worst day of your life... post a topic on a message board in which the body says "My mother just got killed by a rare silverback gorilla. Today is the worst day of my life. Cheers!!" are you that fucking daft up in the head? Secondly... the signature portion that most if not all message boards allow something quite and quippy like that to be inserted... be a fucking human being and utilize that!
2) Bands that wear their OWN t-shirts.
- Yes I know, any advertising will do.... but does this need to be used WHILE PERFORMING? Nothing drives me more insane than when I go to a show and see a guitarist or singer wearing a t-shirt... FOR THEIR OWN BAND... HELLO.... I'M SEEING YOU PERFORM RIGHT NOW, DO YOU REALLY THINK I NEED THE EXTRA ADVERTISING?! Usually I believe the best advertising when it comes to t-shirts is when guys from other bands wear your band's t-shirt. Actually to be honest... the majority of bands in which I have seen members wearing their own t-shirts.. are bands that really suck... but of course this is all just me...
your turn

I'm glad this thread came up, because while I was in State College the other day, I realized one pet peeve I have: Humvee drivers!
I stopped at the music store on my way back from school on Thursday, and I ended up parking next to one of these things. Of course, some bored soccer mom type of chick climbed up in it and left. I normally don't bash people for what vehicle they purchase, but seriously, what is the purpose of owning one of these vehicles other than for status? Are there really that many people living in State College and Altoona who need the power and ground clearance of a vehicle that was originally designed for the U.S. Army? Should I be able to purchase my very own commercial version of an M1A1 tank just because I have more money than brains? Can we accelerate the consumption of fossil fuels any more? I hear that we have some genetically cloned dinosaurs in labs that we'll just kill off and let decompose once we run out of oil. Actually, I'm glad we have commercial Humvees; it's the phenotype for stupidity.
+1 on the band shirts while performing diatribe. There's just something lame and pretentious about wearing your own band's shirt while you're up on stage.

Axl/GNR isn't relevant??
Let me clue you "experts"... music, especially rock n'roll ISNT a dainty MATH project. Has nothing to do with longevity (another term for "selling out" to whatever is in vogue). has little to do technical excelence or pefection. put away your slide rulz. this aint about caluculating mass and velocity
GNR was very relevant. One of a kind and will never reproduce! Sad that they are gone, they are a 2 PERCENTER band! early metal band in top 2%!
no SIR, they are very relevant

Enough is enough. HardAttack, you were already banned from these forums when you were online as NoSurrender. You did nothing but post stupid shit, dumb fucking pictures, dumb-assed links to dumb fucking pictures, and generally piss people off. And you got banned for it. And now you're back, and you're starting the same fucking arguments and bullshit again. Just fucking go away.
And how do I know it's you, NoSurrender?
Simple...
Nobody else ever discussed Nothingface but you.
And they SUCK.

I like Humvee's
I understand about the band members wearing their own t-shirts.
As for pet peeves to continue: Original thread here: http://rockpage.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=12612 : I have one now about banks. I opened a business account a month ago; I have yet to get the stinkin pin number for my mac card !! That means I can not get any information from the account, or register it with online banking organizations ! why are places like that so flipping slow ?!?!?!?

Music Rocks!
My latest pet peeve has been those annoying spambots that somehow post crap on message boards, spewing random letters, symbols and other unintelligible gobbledygook. I usually have to remove one or two of these a week off of Q94's website message board (somehow they turn up on there even though you have to log in to post on the board). I think they originate from China.

Single drivers with nothing to speak of to haul around in Humvees and huge SUVs are hogging up all the gas (driving gas prices up) and contibuting to global warming. IMO it is irresponsible in these times....
Pet peeve is all the paranoia in this country, esp since 9/11. Resulting in things like locking up file cabinets and refrigerators here at work, locking doors at huge businesses while they are open (example: Altoona Hospital the other night while visiting a friend during a snow blizzard and I had to walk practically the whole way around the building), and having to change the password on my computer (it is in a locked office and powered off at night) once a month. I'm running out of passwords and forgetting them. They have to be like 10 characters long, not contain anything I used before, containing at least 2 numbers and one capital letter, blah blah blah.
Also girlfriends asking me what I'm wearing when we are going out. In the words of Napoleon Dynamite, "Gosh, I'll do what I want...."

yeah
My biggest pet peeve right now has to do with the state of our society but I know that you don't want to hear that....
-boards that are dominated by two or three loud mouth people.
-Charities that are obviously designed for someone else's gain.
I like Nothingface, I wear my own band shirts if I feel like it, I support local music, I drive a big gas guzzling SUV and I love freedom! I am not No Surrender and I will leave the same signature on my posts till I feel like changing it.
Peace & prayers to all of you whether you want them or not!

Asshole people who aren't in bands but can criticize yours.
Dickheads who think they know everything about music and the scene, but are at least 20 years younger than myself. So they think they have an opinion, but really they don't.

Drive through restaurants who can't get your order right:
McDonald's - Station Mall...ordered hotcakes, and hotcakes only. So I pulled to the second window and the cashier asked me "don't you eat sausage"...what the hell does that have to do with my order. Oh when I got home it had everything to do with my order. Instead of giving me just the hotcakes that I ordered, they apparently had sausage with my hotcakes and just removed the sausage - leaving a disgusting hotcake covered in sausage grease.
Sheetz - 17th Street. Ordered two diet pepsi's. Got one diet, one regular. I took one sip of the regular and knew it wasn't diet. I politely handed it back to the woman in the window and told her that it was regular Pepsi. Instead of saying..oh, let me get you a new one, she instead started an argument with me. Screaming at me...I know what I gave you...I should have tossed it at her.
I just wanted what I flippin ordered. What the hell has happened to customer service????
