In 1998 a 67 year old person would have been born when?

Let's see what the life expectancy is for the babies being born today are.
Medicine has way more to do with it than diet.

More health conscious people today, but more unhealthy people today right.

Plus if people are living longer How thw Fuck are we considered "unhealthy"?

Yeah, very intelligent post.

Just because medicine is getting better and better doesn't mean we should ignore our health, though. The more we take care of ourselves now, the less time we'll spend hobbled up in a hospital later. Surgery sucks. Medical bills suck. Living in a prescription med haze sucks.

Dirty, I think you should re-read my post. You seem to think I am some wacko vegetarian, not true. I eat meat....how can you argue with moderation? You said...
You people actually think we were not meant to eat meat?
If your ancestors did not eat meat your stupid ass would not even be here. They hunted to feed their families. Who exactly are the "they" in "they just say that"? Do you feel that now that we do not have to eat meat to live that we should not?
Certainly not....I was only saying that humans are not Carnivores. We are Omnivores, and there is a difference. A carnivore must eat meat to survive. Its a personal decision to become a vegetarian and it can result in many health benefits if done correctly. And, if anything, my post is supporting a varied diet, not avoiding meat.

Let's see what the life expectancy is for the babies being born today are.
Medicine has way more to do with it than diet.
I agree with that. Didn't you get that I was saying that many times good diet makes no or little difference in health outcomes? It sure doesn't hurt.
In some people it can make a big difference.
But turn into tough guys, philosophers, and some may even get the illusion they're making a difference once they start typing. Just don't act like your all worried about whats best for mankind, just say you don't want to slaughter a poor defenseless animal.
Huh? I have no illusions that I am making a difference when I participate in a discussion on RP.. Listen, it took me 6 years to get the degree I have and have been working in this field for quite awhile. This is science and perhaps some of my post is my professional opinion, but not my 'feelings' or my 'philosophy'.
Am I worried about mankind when I say that I just want everyone on RP to get along? God I hate this bickering and people getting personal when they don't agree with something.

Hi all!

Zappaswife, the vast majority of heart disease, the # 1 killer, is diet related. Heredity plays a much smaller role, and used as a big excuse for self-indulgence and laziness. The biggest killer Heart disease is avoidable, and don't forget DIABETES. Most caused by porr diet choices not bad genes. big copout.

Who wnats to eat like a caveman? Why? Cavement ate whatever they could get their grubby hands on at the moment. Roots, fruit, leaves, berries and meat, yes, meat. wild game. A "kill" was a big deal back then because it meant a lot of food in ONE place at one time! They could put there legs up on there coffee table made of stone and kick back and survive another week (or whatever) on that antelope.

But is eating whatver you can grab at the moment a suscriiption for healthy eating? LOL I think NOT! LOL If it wewre there be no heart disease TODAY. That's how your all eating, grab a big mac, grab a double cheeseburger. lol Is this healthy? Nope.

"Primitive" people didn't have hormones being pumped into the food they ate, and they certainly wouldn't get the oppurtunity to overindulge like most "civilized" people today. So, while I'm sure there are drawbacks to "eating like a caveman," there are certainly some things that we might learn from past diets (i.e. not pumping our food full of hormones and eating in moderation) that might be healthy. But, I don't have a degree in health/dietary studies or anything.

Oh, not to mention that primitive people had to work (in effect, exercise) to aquire food, whereas, all we have to do is put our fat asses in the car and roll up to the drive-thru.

If we can't bicker and disagree, that would be unhealthy.
I've been practicing moderation, I've only had one Double Jameson
Since 6:00 and i May only have four more total, cuz these percocet are kickin my ass. If you take one single thing I say (or anyone for that matter) on the internet seriously a healthy diet is the least of your problems. Plus the only question I asked was Who are the "they" you refer to. One time I ate a bunch of acid and thought about who "they" were. Couldn't figure it out. But "they" sure do fuck up a lot of stuff.

I hunt, but I'm still fat. Iguess you're not supposed to eat the whole deer at once. Plus I do kill a lot of shit.

Pretty sure the only "they's" I ever referred to were cows ("So, they release a whole shitload of methane, which isn't very good for the environment.") and "primitive" peoples. So, I'm confused. Do you archery hunt? If I went hunting, I think that's how I'd roll.

Anyone ever had Venison cut as a Filet Mignon? I enjoyed my first one last year. It had been marinated, grilled to perfection and was DEEEELICIOUS!

Yes I do archery hunt. But I also hunt with anything the law allows.
Archery is def. the most challenging, but sometimes you get hungry and have to grab th .308 centerfire. I was just messin with ZappasX with bthe whole they thing. She said something like "that's just something they say."
So I had to mess with her cuz it did really remind me of tripping my nuts off one time wondering who the hell "they" were. Yes YankeeRose every part of the deer is delicious.
