Good point Jim, I've only ever sampled the cuisine at the State College location.

WOW!
I had to stop in @ City Limits tonight and sampled Claudio's newest hot sauce receipe. They freakin rawk! I always liked the wings there bc Claud makes them crispy, but normally stuck with either the butter garlic or the medium. I wanted to get some of the sauce to go for the boys back @ PXP Central to taste, but so many ppl liked the new sauce that he ran out :(

In the fall, when some of the Rockpage bands played the "Rock The House" benefit in Tire Hill, I tried the wings they had and they were awsome. Some of my favorites are The Foxburg Inn in Saint Benedict, Shooters in Johnstown, and the Raindrop Inn in Home/Marion Center (They claim to be the wing capital of Indiana). For those that enjoy good wings, I'd suggest trying them there.

I think it's called The White House... it's right across from Lake Mont I believe. They got awesome wings. I went to the wing off the one year and it was just a lousy time for me. Then, across the street...mmmm..tastey morsels. They also have a drink there called Purple School Bus... it'll definitely run you over the second trip around.

I have to agree with facingwest...rayne droppe inn in marion center/home does have some spectacular wings, also in that area, the Coney Island in Indiana has some great wings, and farther up north (I am the lone representative of northwestern PA on here I do believe sometimes),is Vince's near Clarion, PA . No little "half wings" with crappy dry sauce, these are the giants overloaded with flavor (try the Cajun)

Wings wings wings

CK's in Johnstown is the bomb. They have over 500 flavors some hot some not and I have never had a bad tasting flavor yet. I once had the pleasure of watching someone eat CK's infamous Nuclear Death wings.(You have to sign a waiver to eat those things!) He ran out of the joint screaming into the street. Then ran back in and locked himself in the bathroom for a half hour. The owner also takes a polaroid of your reaction when you take the first bite and adds it to the wall of shame. Definitely worth it if you have a friend that thinks they can eat the hottest wings. These wings will knock anyone off their high horse. Even the horse would be knocked down.

Two or three years ago, somebody brought some CK's Nuclear Death sauce over to Pellegrine's, and introduced two members of my "Monday Night Wing-Eating Think Tank" to it. These two guys thought they could handle hardcore hot wings UNTIL they tried to eat CK's Nuclear Death sauce. Both wound up laying on the floor of Pelly's men's room, doubled over! Both described it in horrific terminology; they were hoping for death, etc. Needless to say, they are both a lot more careful about doing hardcore hot wings, lol!

Has anyone ever had the wings at The Coney in Indiana? Not the hottest that I have ever had, but the best!

If you're looking for hot, go to any of the Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. Dinky wings, but the best sauces.

I love hot wings, I wish I could remember the "Chasers" hot wing recipe, they were the best. I haven't had any as of late ... This thread is making me hungry for them though ..

In my book:
Best overall wings: Red's 53 Bar-b-que outside of portage
Best wing flavor: tie between honey ranch parmesan and shark shooter at Shooters
So you gonna take me back to your room and play with me?

Damn, i think that if i ate wings like punkinhead and jimi hatt described, i would die of stomach ulcers in approximately 3 seconds after the first bite. Daves insanity sauce is some pretty evil shit, and could probably melt aluminum siding off of a house. I like hot wings, but damn, i dont want to die from them. hahaha

Looks as if Gymnast mentioned Red's a few posts before you. I hear that they're even better on Sunday night. Any truth to that?

Everything tastes better when topless women are about! Hell, even long car rides home are better with topless women about! As a matter of fact, ...topless women just make everything better!
