Do You Care???
Do You Care???
I agree with her, how bout you. I know it's long, but it's worth reading
The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and
Associates in Atlanta . She's been in business since 1980 doing interior
design and home planning. She recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq ...... Read it!
"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started
by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 ?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally
murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?
And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.
I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for
incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.
I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.
I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First
Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.
And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and
other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - I
don't care ! ! ! ! !
Sooner or later, this needs to get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

You call that drivel? It's all factual and based on recent events. I'm also sick of liberals bashing every aspect of what we do, then they try to make it seem like they care by simply saying, "God bless our troops" or "I support the troops, but..." bullshit. We get attacked by these insane mother fuckers and all the sudden, we are the ones to blame?bassist_25 wrote:I'll care when people in middle America quit writing rhetoric like this drivel.
God bless our troops, but I'm sick of reading crap like this.

Two Reagan quotes in one post ... I think I may hurl.
Rob, you can support the troops without supporting or agreeing with this retarded war. Goddam, you're fucking narrow minded a lot of the time.
Try and tell me I don't care about the troops. IMO, those of us who want them returned home to their families now and want to see an end to this ridiculous war care more than those who would have them continune to fight and DIE in a war that CANNOT AND WILL NEVER BE WON. Don't believe this? Ask Russia.

You have a bad habit of forgeting or just flat out ignoring this very important fact: IRAQ DIDN'T PERPETRATE THE 9/11 ATTACKS!!!!! That's what she said.
... and yeah, $hit like the initial post is indeed drivel of the worst kind, akin to the crap country music artists like that fü©king "Ford truck man" produced following 9/11 just to garner attention and turn a profit.

It's uses a ton of strong one-sided imagery (e.g., incinerate, hacking off Nick Berg's head) to incite indignation into people who cannot view things objectively. The terrorists are bad dudes; I don't deny that. I don't need that spoonfed to me like I'm a fucking moron. Again, it's just feel good crap written by bored housewives in middle America who have always lived comfortable middle class lives and are totally uninformed about the reality of the world.RobTheDrummer wrote:You call that drivel? For someone who has such strong opinions, that's a very odd statement. From your posts, it seems like you accept zero percent of others' opinions, instead preferring to ignore anything outside your own focused world as stupid, or completely wrong.
You, my friend, are a hardcore conservative.
Did you see how I worked that in there? Oh man, sorry, sometimes I just slay myself with my little jokes.
But, seriously, you're a conservative, you just don't know it yet. Or, because of your love of beans, you could be a libertarian, which is basically a conservative who consumes beans.
The statement "I will never vote," is likely simply how you feel right now. You have a kiddy coming, and my friends tell me that changes everything, including your political views. It's part of maturing, and being a grown-up has it's advantages and responsibilities. It's okay, it happens to the best of us.

But it's your voice.
Sometimes my vote is a vote of confidence for someone, but mostly it's a middle-finger to people who think they know what's best for me. Either way, if I didn't vote, my opinion meant nothing to anyone, even myself.
You value your own voice, maybe more than anyone else in this forum, and I predict you will eventually be politically active. You'd probably be good at it.-------->JMS

North Korea never attacked us.
Bosnia never attacked us.
I guess those wars were ok because it was Democrat presidents that started them. I guess my statement makes as much sense as the stupid statement.."Iraq never attacked us..."

War, it ain't nothing but a heartbreaker
War, friend only to the undertaker
Peace, love and understanding
Tell me, is there no place for them today
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord knows there's got to be a better way
Ooooooh, war, huh
Good God y'all
What is it good for
You tell me
Say it, say it, say it, say it
