Lamb of God.. live show..

Post by AtoMikEnRtiA »

I just scored tickets to see Lamb of God with Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on March 23rd ... fuckin stoked..

has anybody seen Lamb of God perform live? if so... how is their live show... and do you think this show will be worth the 50 bucks spent on a ticket?

Never saw Lamb of God (or should I say "LOG" to be a hip scenester?!?) but I can tell you that the Shitty Beatles truly do suck ... it's not just a clever name.

Actually my old band NineSixNine played with Lamb Of God twice back when they were known as Burn The Priest .... one time in Kane, PA and the next night in Athens, OH. Back then they had a 3 song demo cassette and t-shirts that were kinda cheesy looking (I still have both the demo and t shirt). In Kane we played at some VFW hall and our singer at the time just got a wireless mic and he let Randy from LOG use it and about 2 songs in, he drops it and breaks the mic. I'll never forget that because after he broke the mic Randy ran around to the people there ( about 6 of us) and grabbed our heads and yelled the vocals into our ears while the band played the songs. The next night in Athens, we played on this platform that was about 20 to 30 feet in the air attached to an old barn that was turned into a skate bowl. There were no railings and every time someone would skate or jump on the platform the whole thing would shake. Our singer skated some so he had this bright idea that he was going to drop into the bowl and skate but he totally wiped it and the next thing I knew he was lying flat on his back at the bottom of the bowl... it was awesome. Ahh the memories. If anyone sees Ed from Rusty Gun Revival, ask him about it, I am sure he has quite a story also about those two nights.

I'm going to smack you so fucking hard, Justin...

"Yeah!!!!!"

"Yeaaaaaah!!!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeaaaaaaaaah!"

"OOOOOOOOOH!"

"OOOOOOOHHHHH!"

you know the music is good, I like the music... but I hate Matthew K. Heafy singing the songs like it's 1984 again.. "The Anthem" is terrible..

my best friend loves Trivium, they're not terrible... but it sickens me how everybody feels they're transcending.... yeah... they're transcending how much shititude Dragonforce's singer can live up to

I'm curious, I finally saw a Dragonforce video the other night. Why does everyone hate them so badly? I'm not hugely familiar with them, so maybe there's something I don't know, but it seems like these guys are like Dream Theater speeded up. Tremendous musicianship, I was impressed. What gives? Or is it just the elitist "REAL Metal doesn't have a melody line" thinking?

my problem with dragonforce is the singer...

the music is absolutely amazing.... but the singer sounds like his balls are being torn apart down the middle..

yeah, i really dont like the singer either. Musically its cool i guess. i dont think the drums fit. they are too badass for the guitars, i think they belong in something heavier.
