KoRn Unveils Their New Drummer

Post by ToonaRockGuy »

This is from last month, but David Silveria has left KoRn, and they found his replacement...

Terry frickin' Bozzio.

Wonder if TB is going to bring his entire kit out?

Apparently someone does. They're doing another "Family Values" tour. And they couldn't have gotten Bozzio without some major pull. Go figure. I liked their first 2 records, but nothing since.

Huge step DOWN for Terry Bozzio. Korn sucks so much.

HOW is this possible?!

I have serious doubts.

talk to me if they replace Fieldy, in my opinion the single worst bass player ever signed to a record contract.

Supposedly, from what I read, David is only taking a break from the band for one CD and one tour.

But, as I said in this thread, Korn sure is having trouble keeping it's members interested.

talk to me when they replace jonathan davis, and find somebody with the following...

A) something to write about
B) Somebody who can suffice without going "oooh wha ooooh wha nuh noonana .. oooh wha ooooh wha nuh noonana"

fuck him... and his childhood molested ass...
"okay we got da right and fruffy panacakes. ooooooh ver goood you get da rittre bruberries, too!"

I actually think jonathan davis isn't that bad, when he is actually singing. His stupid scat thing and his lyrics choice, well thats something else.

Did they actually put this guy behind a curtain or something and "unveil" him or did they just announce that they have a new drummer? If they unveiled him, I think that's a little over the top.

i mean i used to like korn... but maybe my liking of jonathan davis went to shit after realizing he was nothing more than the lead singer of your average everyday grindcore or underground nu-metal/hardcore project or the lead vocalist from "from their eyes"

rah rah rah rah suck my lord...

C'mon, Fieldy is the single best advertising tool for guitar technicians around the globe.

Do you plug your bass in and everything you play sounds like Korn? You see, when you play 87 whole steps down from 440 with light gauge strings and action lower than Britney Spears's pants, you get fretbuzz Those of us in the guitartech business call this The Fieldy Syndrome. So come on down to Snickerbean's Guitar Shop and get your bass set up today!

In all seriousness, I'm with many of the people here; I liked the first couple of Korn albums but haven't been interested in anything they've recently released. From what I understand, they are pretty terrible live.

I read an interview with fieldy in which he said that he never practiced. He was proud of this too. He also said the most important thing you can do to be a good bass player was get a 4x10 cabinet. I think he's a completely useless ass.

I saw them with Disturbed and some other band in State college. Obviously, Disturbed completely destroyed Korn, who were the headliners. Korn had the "Wall of Sound" syndrome. Just a constant low end hum from beginning to end. It was so unbearable that myself and the three other people I went with gave up our pretty good floor spots for an area beyond the soundman area. It was just too much. And you can't fault the Jordan Center as a venue either in this case because Disturbed was crystal clear and audible throughout their set. I fault terrible sound crew and terrible musicians for that night. Just showed me that Disturbed should open for noone.

I've never been a big Korn fan. As far as seeing them live, I wouldn't pay
to do so. I have seen them on several television shows (playing live) and
they sounded quite frankly like shit! Fieldy's bass playing did not impress me, and I do agree he has alot of string buzz which is clearly noticeable even on their albums. Why a drummer the caliber of Terry Bozzio would even consider this is beyond me (unless he was offered mega$ and is desperate for cash). I liked the spoof South Park did on them, kinda made them look gay IMHO. Sorry if you are a Korn fan, I just am not
particularly impressed by them. Only my 10 cents.

TRUSTCompany opened the show... and blew both Disturbed and KoRn away...

only good part about Disturbed is when the singer went apeshit on somebody in the crowd for flipping him off, and then he threw a water bottle at them...

I've seen Korn live 4 times and really was only impressed by there live performance at one show. I agree with everyone as well. There first couple albums were very good but the rest were shit. So why is David stepping down from drumming for Korn. Personaly in my own opinion there last few albums sound like they just got together one night went drinkin and threw some shit together and went to the studio and recorded it. There's to many bands going to shit If you ask me. Not for certain on this but I was told Metallica will be releasing there new album sometime in 2007. And I sure the hell hope it is better than there last few. I still keep hoping their going to surprise us all with another / And Justice For All album.
