Grossman needs a bullet!

and Manning needs a skirt... if it sounds like sour grapes, that's exactly what is! I'm a die hard Bears fan... and that game was difficult to watch.

There is no WAY he deserves the MVP. Unless it's called Most Vaginal Player....

Anyone see the fumble in the backfield... he pointed and ran away!

Haha, he certainly wasn't throwing them. You gotta give it to him though, he did take his team to the Super Bowl. That's more than I can say of Steelers this year. At least we won ours. :D

Good point. That kick return in the beginning was amazing. Hester is a great returner.

I'm posting now in a "hops and barley induced state"... death threats to Rex Grossman are not officially sanctioned right now. LOL!

Hey man, what happened with the Chicago defense? Allowed 430 yards....They just didn't execute and the Colts took advantage.

Win or Lose

Post by tornandfrayed »

I though the game was OK, I am actually happy that the Colts won. That does not in any way diminish what the Bears accomplished this year! I mean they played the whole season with Rex! Gotta give Lovie credit for that!

I think it is cool that both of these teams have a very Christian theme. I think that it is interesting that these guys who excel and achieve the pinnacle of their professions turn and humbly give the credit to God. I find it refreshing. These guys are winners and I don't wonder why. I don't wonder why these two coaches have such excellent teams and I am sure that they will enjoy continued success.

Kudos to both teams playing in super shitty conditions, they both deserve congratulations!

And for Steeler fans the future should be interesting!

Dude, cut them some slack....what were they up against, nearly 100 plays and 2:1 time of possession. 22 points given up and 3 forced turnovers against arguably the best O in the league against those odds is pretty damn good. No defense, not even the best ever, could do much better. They kept the Bears in it, in spite of their clumsy idiot QB.

Yea man, up against 100 plays because the defense sucked. We kicked their asses last year in the playoffs! :D Steelers will be back!

And Dave, I totally agree. Great to see a coach with some openly Christian values. Tony and Lovie are two excellent coaches!

Peyton is an emotional player. Nothing wrong with that.

Also, that kick wasn't really a "clutch" kick and no one is perfect. If it was a game winner, then you can talk shit on him. All the guy has done his whole career making superbowl winning kicks, post season winning kicks, he misses one lousy field goal and all the sudden he's just average?

Or up against 100 plays because they get a fumble and it is fumbled back, force a punt and it is followed by 3 and out? Just how many times can you stop an NFL offense with no offense to support you? Yeah, we kicked their ass and they were probably better last year but, we didn't turn the ball over (except at the end, GOOD GOD) and ran it well.

And I agree that the Steelers will be in the play-offs next year. I already have $$$ on it.

BTW, anybody take the over/under on the national anthem? It was 1:44, he did it in 1:25. I figured Billy Joel wasn't going to sing it like Mariah Carey, where it might have lasted 5 minutes.

Yeah, must have been a theme for the night. Prince got off a little with his guitar work. There was a note or two I winced on.

I guess some of my hostility came from Franco's Altoona Mirror blub.... "How can your root against the Good Guy Tony Dungy... if you do that, you're no friend of mine"

Hey Franco... I'm a Bears Fan you fuckin' fudge-packer!

I'll root against a good guy, bad guy, or green guy if he's opposing me!

BTW we're not friends.

because you know, a dome team beating a chicago outdoors team in a tropical storm isn't fucking impressive enough.. if Vince Lombardi were there he would tell these people to suck it...

Thats going to be a tough one for Bears fans everywhere. I was the same way when Neil O'Dummel threw away our championship in Superbowl XXX...I still have trouble watching the highlights to that game. And oh yeah HE WAS PAID OFF! :x

Returning the Kick off for a touch down was pretty much the high light of the game for me. They should have made Hester the MVP.

I can still remember the shocked faces on the Cowboys sideline when they realized, with 4 minutes remaining, that they were gonna lose. Goddammit, why'd you have to bring that up. Now I'm pissed.
