Hillary will run in 2008 ...

Post by f.sciarrillo »

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think she might do good. Even though I can't stand her.

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/feature/video/

She hates Bush, so it should be interesting to see what she says to combat his stupidity for the past eight years. I don't think she will make it past the primaries, but you never know with the way things have been for the past couple of years. I do know the media will probably push her harder than a constipated man pushing a turd ...

Really, if it's Barak Obama or Hillary, they will lose the bible belt vote. If the Democrats want the next president, they need to win the bible belt.

The liberal media love Hillary and any other liberal. Has she ever been asked why she made over $100 k on just investing $1000 in less than 1 year in cattle futures? Has she ever been asked why she had 1000 IRS files if her political opponents in the White House? Or any of a dozen questions a Fox News reporter would ask. Bet you will never see her on a Fox News show.

I agree with you. Fox news will rip her apart. But name a politician who isn't corrupt or deceitful in some way ...

I agreed 100%!!!! Let Hillary get in there & straighten this shit out. I can see her kicking ass & taking names - heads will roll! She can reap all of the extracurricular benefits afforded to her as president. And for once, let a woman's hair turn gray for doing it. I think that it's exactly what this country needs.

To borrow a line from Robin Williams...

If a woman is ever elected President their won't be anymore wars, just every 28 days some intense negotiations.

Of course in Hillary's case, I think even the every 28 days thing is void, given her age.

Not all of us are in favor of term limits.

In fact term limits should be in place across the board, if they are going to be used at all.

They need to have term limits IMO. Since impeachment is nearly impossible because concrete stuff just "disappears", it's the only way the public can "fix" a mistake in their voting.

How about, just vote someone out at the end of the term?

I don't see why we need to rely on term limits. Just like what happened to Santorum. He messed up, the people gave him the boot.

This statement would carry a lot more weight if not delivered by someone with his nose buried so deeply in W's a$$ ...

No way anyone (let alone Hillary) could fü©k things up any worse than they are now.

Wow ... did we just time travel back to the early '90s? Hmmm ... let's see here ... cattle futures vs. thousands of dead US soldiers ...

No one cared (about cattle futures) then, no one cares now. Stop the killing now, please. 70 percent of us (and climbing) are tired of it.

Yeah, there is no way anyone could screw up worst than Bush did. I didn't like Clinton, but his stupid mistake was nothing compaired to W's stupid mistake. And if you think about it, things were better for this country at the time. Every since we got Bush things sank .. And no I will not be voting for Hillary ...

I remember some other accusations made against Hillary's husband, regarding financial "misdoings"... many millions of dollars in investigations later, no charges stick, and the only guy to benefit was Ken Starr, who has a really posh job now.
I support a Hillary run, if only because it will be so freaking entertaining. It'll be like Marilyn Manson running for Pope. The propagandists are spinning it every which way but loose, because anybody can see she's a formidable opponent on a political level. You don't have to like her, but the truth is, no Clinton has ever lost an election. All other factors aside, they are good at campaigns. It makes me grin to know what's coming in the months ahead... again, possibly one of the most consequential elections in history. I think the gloves will be off long before the conventions.
I think I like how the internet figures into the equation as well. I was listening to Drudge on the way home from rehearsal last night, and he was criticizing Hillary for announcing over the internet, and using it as a tool to reach millions for very little money. The irony? If not for the internet, Mike Drudge would be just another schmuck. He also made a derogatory remark about Youtube, but hey, Youtube's his main competition, and Youtube really hurt Republican election hopes last year (a la Makaka), and the GOP has no control over it. I think it's cool that anybody can get their message out with a bit of ingenuity and zazz.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of W, he's liberal to me. That's why he's not doing a good job.

I suppose ignorance is bliss.

Do I have to remind everybody that we are talking about a woman who put a group of 500 lawyers together in secret to decide the best way to nationalize the entire health care industry?

What was the result? Voters were so shocked at the possibility that it might actually happen that in the next election, they put the Republican party in charge of the House for the 1st time in 40 years!

As for term limits. Bill Clinton is the luckiest man in the world! Had he been re-elected for a 3rd term, he would have been blamed for the bursting of the internet bubble and the ensuing depression. I say ensuing depression because continuing Clintonomics into 2002 and beyond would have plunged us into a depression after the events of 9/11.

Instead, President Clinton was credited with the pseudo-boom of the late 90s that was funded by middle class IRA and 401K money chasing unprofitable internet schemes. Things were great as long as the money flowed out of your retirement plans and into the internet drain...

I am always amused when I think about the fact that Hillary's husband presided over the greated re-allocation of wealth in history:

from the middle class' retirement funds to the smart money fat cats on Wall St.

Yup, those Democrats are looking out for YOU! Yes, YOU!
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

You mean the pseudo-boom where welfare was at an all-time low, and our red-lined manufacturing capacity was increasing on a quarterly basis? The one that ended abruptly when the courts had to determine the winner of a tightly contentious election? That one where we hadn't been at war in a decade, and the biggest problem in the White House was a surreptitious BJ? Back when China, India and Indonesia were practically Third World nations? Back when I didn't give a rat's ass what was going on in Iraq because it had absolutely no bearing on my life? That time of tripling my 401K in a year, and 60%-plus presidential approval ratings?
Oh, I remember that. -------->JMS

Those are all excellent points. Also remember how Dean got so popular in the primaries? He did that using the Internet. If the candidates on either side are smart, they will borrow that from Dean's campaign plan and exploit it to its fullest potential.
