I disagree that democrat = socialist. If that were true, then republican = totalitarian. Libertarian = anarchist.
It's a conservative media tactic to turn any opposing view to extremism, they've been doing it for many years.

Libertarian = constitutionalist. The libertarian movement is to get our government back to what the original founders intended. Very little involvement of the Federal government in our daily lives. That is very far from the way it is now. Congress voted a law to tell us how much water should be in our toilets when we flush!!!! Not constitutional.
