I tell ya what I want I want Tom Hanks to play a guitar solo in castaway 2, I want Wilson the ball to write a new single for Sade, I want the whale who helped save Tom in castaway to play yakkity sax with his blowhole,I wanna play a d 7th minor major half step up and 1/3 step down two steps forward and 3 steps back round and round in and out upside down oh ya turn me Bar Chord in 64 th notes with a banjo pick on my penis while Helen Hunt and Paul Riser dance disco on top of a UPS truck going backwards on the highway to hell !! Punkin I've seen ya play and so have many others on this site and anyone who has knows that you are very capable of putting your $$ where your mouth is as far as this other guy ... look rockpage welcomes all to come and state opinions and discuss music etc etc.. but there's no reason to get personal with people if you have a problem or an issue send it private my biggest pet peeve is someone being an idiot in a public forum were all musicians in our own way and that's what makes music so fuK _ in cool ,it is a way for individuals to express themselves in any way they want.. So rock on all of you

Ah, yes, the years and years spent perfecting the technique. The attention to detail. The hours and hours devoted to reading. All for the payoff...... that day when you look down with pride, at the instrument in your hands. How you stroke it with love. You've tuned it, polished it, oiled it down. You know where the knobs are and how they liked to be tweeked and how to squeeze the neck just right to get the maximum squeal. All in the hopes of soon cranking it up in the face of an adoring fan. Then, and only then will you know the rewards of all that time spent in your bedroom with the door locked, trying to be quiet so as not to wake anyone or draw attention to you and your real best friend. Then you will know what it means to be the MASTER.....and as you scream out your own name you will know that strokin' your thang is all you were really meant to do. You did know I was talking about playin' guitar, right? And if someone is digging what you are doing, you know that it is just as good as sex. And not knowing how to chord solo will be the last thing on your mind......

Daveb That is the most beautifully writen well thought out paragraph I think I have ever read. It summed up my whole life and now I know what I was put on this earth to do - Until I realized you were talking about the guitar, but my eyes are still watering

all the while YOU COULD BE rocking to a song filled with PERSON PROBLEMS, CHARACTER FLAWS, CLICHE IMAGERY, UNBUYABLE STORY, POOR PROSODY BETWEEN MESSAGE AND TEMPO, etc
