keep in mind that is how the dictionary defines it. We all know society has placed a far harsher stigma on the term. I've been in the position to see how these groupies are treated. It's not pretty. Why any woman would degrade herself for maybe 15 minutes of pleasure is beyond me. So how do the people of rockpage define the term groupie?

Here is my take on it... A groupie is a woman who seeks out someone with some form of celebrity (whether it be a musician, actor, sports figure, etc) for the sole purpose of sex. Usually it is done for the purpose of bragging rights and status on their own part. Some have no regard to the marital status of said celebrity and will actively pursue someone who is known to be taken. (I have no respect for these women) Many will perform any degrading act requested of them just for the chance to have time with a certain celebrity. (the old saying some girls will do anything for a backstage pass. And trust me a lot will.)

well we define groupie as a male or female who hangs out with the band and support them and goes with them out of town to support them where ever they go. which we do for second offense cuz they rock, and they treat us very well and we make jokes about us being their groupies, but that is ok cuz we luv them, as friends, no sex!!!
