Lawn Mowers and Musicians

Post by Baceman Spiff »

What the hell? Why not? Do you use a push mower, walk behind or riding tractor. How much horsepower do you prefer? Gas or Electric? Or, do you opt for a lawn care provider? My gods the conversation oportunities here are endless!!

i uh... live in an apartment complex with US 422 on one side of me, and a back alley in the remaining side...

my yard is uh... a parking lot?

what lawnmower would you suggest when needing to remove a lot of tiny stones? i dont want to pepper everybody's windows with pebbles, but uh... a rake is too much like work...

I wait til code enforcement sends a threatening letter, then I borrow my brothers weedeater. I don't have much grass but I live on a fucking crazy steep hill. Nobody can even see my yard except th nosy old bitch next door, you know the one who calls code enforcement. If I wasn't so goddamned lazy I'd keep that shit at the maximum height allowed by law.

14hp Push Mower (There are 3 in the shed, no idea which make the working one is. Others are for parts if needed).

Electric weed whacker

Love to mow the lawn just hard to find the time. There wasn't much need last year.
Real problem is raking the leaves. So many trees in the backyard that it's perpetually dark.

18 hp. cub cadet 48" deck. i got a couple of acres takes about 2.5 hours not counting trim.
stihl weed wacker and chainsaw. i found as with most things, buy good shit and save yourself alot of money and heartache in the long run. my stihl stuff is one pull with the choke on and then a choke adjustment and it fires right up everytime. i don't know how many weedeaters i fired off trees and smashed on the driveway cuz they wouldn't start, till i bought the good stuff.
