I'd have trouble picking just two, because there's so many guitarist that have so many important things to say, but I guess if I really had to...

Robben Ford and John Petrucci

Pick just 2? I suppose Michael Schenker and Yngvie Malmsteen are a good pair, but there are so many more...

No way I could ever narrow it down to just two, but as far as guys who
aren't going to be on several people's list (Alex Lifeson, Hendrix, Page,
Gilmour, Edge, Beck) I'd go with Jagori Tanna (I Mother Earth) and
Brian Futter (Catherine's Wheel) with slide-ins for Ty Tabor (King's X)
and Richard Lloyd (Television/Matthew Sweet).

You people will probably make fun of my choices but oh well, we're all entitled to our opinions. my 2 favs would have to be Bill Leverty of Firehouse & Jimmy Olander of Diamond Rio (a country band just in case anybody doesnt know)

Steve Howe of Yes - I think that he is the best, all-around guitar player of his generation. Emotion, color, & texture only begin to scratch the surface of his massive talent.

Gary Moore (Independent, ex-Thin Lizzy),(actually my wife's favorite) - It must have been tough on Gary's mom during childbirth, what with baby Gary coming out of the womb clutching that Les Paul. That's the way he plays - like he was born with that instrument. And did you ever hear the longest sustained guitar note ever put on record? That was him but that's just icing on the cake for this legend.
