It's all good. I was afraid the game would distract me from watching Monday Night Raw. OMG, the Great Khali!! Somebody stop him before he cuts a promo or something!

Boise State, on the other hand, is probably really digging the outcome.

Nah, Boise State is a bunch of white guys with a zillion tattoos. Everybody playing for Florida looks like Whoopi Goldberg. Does their dress code require dreadlocks or something?

If this game is played 2 weeks after the regular season, instead of a MONTH AND A HALF, I bet the score would be the other way around. (at least close)

College football NEEDS a playoff system. Let the Boise States' prove they belong. I've seen PSU fucked at least 3 times in my lifetime.

come on... Florida is beating OSU all over the field, this has NOTHING to do with the layoff...

but I still believe a playoff system is needed

I think having weeks off does matter. But 41-14???? Florida deserved this win. Ohio State did not look prepared at all! If anything, they had more time to prepare!

BCS 2006-2007

WHY IT WORKED.

1. Michigan did NOT deserve a second chance at OSU, as given their performance in the Rose Bowl

2. Boise State shocks the world - cements their place in College Football's elite..

3. Florida - 2006-2007 National Champions

WHY IT FAILED.

1. Notre Dame - hey guys.. what does Marijuana and Notre Dame have in common? easy... they both get smoked in a bowl!

2. The SUCKTITUDE OF THE ACC - Wake Forest?!?! Are you kidding me.. Miami, Boston College, Florida State, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech... AND WAKE FOREST IS ALL YOU CAN OFFER? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!

3. Boise State - They slayed goliath in the greatest game ever played.. BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED FOR THE BCS TITLE GAME. They were 13-0, I'm not saying they would have been a shoo-in to win, but they needed to be considered and they weren't..

4. Declining ratings as the "Series" went on. - After the Fiesta Bowl... nobody gave a fuck until the BCS Championship game. The Orange Bowl -- was as intriguing on paper as a re-run of Three's Company... in fact, that's what I watched that night..

5. Blowouts.. - LSU blows out Notre Dame, Florida blows out OSU, USC beats Michigan but that game was never as close as the score indicated... this has to change..

In summation, this year, I give the BCS a C+ Simply because of the upsets in Arizona (both games)

First, congrats to Florida on their dominating win over the Buckeyes - not to mention that Florida also currently holds the men's college basketball national championship; the first school to hold both the football and men's hoops titles concurrently.

As I see it, this game further fueled the outcries against the BCS and for a playoff system. As the regular season progressed, Ohio State vs. Michigan was talked about as the national championship game, as both teams were believed to be the best in the nation. Michigan - after all the talk about deserving the rematch with Ohio State - then gets their asses handed to them by USC, and then Ohio State - who the football pundits (and many of us here on Rockpage included, yours truly as well) were coronating as the champions before the game was even played - was embarrassed by Florida. Boise State, USC, LSU and Louisville all are probably wondering how they might have fared had a playoff system been in place, given how badly Florida stomped the Buckeyes.

I'm sure this will be the hot topic on the sports talk shows Tuesday; there will be loud outcries that a legitimate playoff system is needed to determine Division I's college football champion. This year's BCS Championship Game further exposed the flaws of the BCS system, because it is very debatable whether the two best teams in the nation actually played for the title. #1 vs. #2, yes. But the best two teams, not necessarily. Let the debate continue...

I will literally tell these people in Ohiya I told you so. This game will shut them the fuck up. For 50-some days, this all the natives of ohio had to talk about. Fuckin' OSU is their life. I love football and all that shit, but it is nerve wracking and I'm glad I'll be seeing a little less red n gray now.

Florida clearly came in prepared to play. OSU had several games this year
that they easily could have lost (PSU game included). I'm not a Florida fan,
but they deserve the title given the focus they had, and the ass whoopin'
they laid on OSU! I believe Florida "wanted it more" plain and simple.

I was surprised that OSU was not ready to play. I didn't think they were unstoppable but, I thought very little of Florida...especially after almost losing to South Carolina.

Urban Meyer clearly made more of the 5 weeks or so lay-off than Tressel did.

The BCS did not have Penn State in the top 25!?. The other polls had them at 25 and 24th place. Not bad for a 4 loss season.

My father is an OSU fan, and OSU fans are almost as bad as Steelers fans.
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

Wow - I sat in disbelief watching that game....

I don't think this can be said very often, but it appears to me that Tressel did indeed get out-coached. Florida was ready for everything, and OSU couldn't stop them at all. No adjustments (why the hell did they keep playing that two-deep zone coverage, when FL just kept taking 5-10 yard passes and marched down the field? Why did they keep dropping Smith back instead of going to 3 step drops, quick-hitters, screens, etc., to slow down the bum rush FL was putting on? I don't get it. Wow...

I think maybe Ginn was better than I was giving him credit for, and as good as most were saying. With him out, Gonzalez and Robiskie couldn't do anything, and Smith looked lost. Pittman played well - 6+ yds per carry. But that's about the only positive thing I can say about the whole thing. Again... wow. :(

Ginn plays the whole game, probably a different game - but given the seeming imbalance in preparation, it's tough to argue OSU would win, even with Teddy, Jr.

At least I can walk around with my PSU stuff on and give the TN fans hell! YEAH!! :D
You better call me a doctor - feelin' no pain!
