Special Thanks to Eric Smith and Skull

Post by bassist_25 »

I normally shy away from these "thank you" threads because most people normally don't care, but I want to show my appreciation just this once. I don't think that either of these cats post on Rockpage, but I know there are some people here who do know them.

Last night, old sKool was literally bed-ridden with a 104 fever. Rather than have to cancel a show (and a New Year's show at that), Eric of Cyphin/Undone and Skull of Undone helped us out. Undone played an opening set, and then Eric filled the guitar spot with us for the night. They did this on a couple hours notice and with no rehearsal. So from everyone in camp bad daZe, we appreciate Eric and Skull coming to help us out (you know, I don't even know Skull's real name).

p.s. Those in the opening band got paid. ;)

Yeah, that sounds worthy of a thank you thread. It sucks being in a pinch like that, glad you guys found someone to help ya out. Especially on New Years, if ya would have had to cancel that it would have sucked. Hope "ole school" gets better.

Helluva party ... Undone did a great job, Eric stepped in to tear some $hit up and the Tavern's new floor got quite a workout ...

This was definitely one of my personal favorite NYE shows ... there was no cover, no problems, people partied hard and, as Future Bobby said ...

... the opener was paid. Cash money. Crazy.

Eric is one awesome guy!!...He has hung around once and gave us a hand when we had sound problems at the Line before and has always been stage front at our shows when they opened for us, even coming up and pickin Jason's guitar as he did the neck work!
And Skull???? well he's one champion belcher!! (pickin)
He has always been a trip around any show!

Yeah big thanks to Eric & Skull. I owe them big time. First time I ever "called off sick". I've played sick many many times, including Saturday night (which pretty much kicked my ass) but just no way could pull through Sunday. Awesome to work with such great people where we can get help at the last minute like that. Thanks again guys. Happy New Year all.

I also want to add a personal thanks to Eric and Skull and a thanks from the staff at the Tavern. We had been really advertising this show and so many people would have been disappointed if it had been canceled. Everyone had a great time and we had one of our best nights ever. Thanks again, guys!

I must say I am very honored to play with these guys. Im glad it all worked out for you all. Hope you feel better Kenny. Unfortunetly we had to cancel our show the other night due to our one guitar player and I being sick. There's something going around. But Im glad everyone had fun.
