Made the people of the US and the world that the Republic party is Incompetent, lying, evil, bible thumping, gay mongering(But most of the Senators and congress men are gay or pediphiles) rich oil men

The Democrats ain't no better, blow jobs in the oval office, disquisting things, up to the year2000 we had balanced budget,no war, 89 cents a gallon a gas, A better economy, working on welfare reform just off the top of my head.

I think the last election was a sign that America is finally waking up!!

And NO I'm not voting for hillary in 08! I vote for the best man or woman for the job not the party, but as of now the republicians have a terrible track record!

You're right..

It's Bush's war.. but it's our peace...

Are you any safer, any more free because we have US Soldiers in Iraq? Tell me in what one way - how am I any more of a free man, because we have soldiers fighting for our "freedom" in Iraq. One way, just one and I'll hop on the train..

Personally, with the advent of the US Patriot Act - I'm less free. I no longer have the freedom to keep my library card information confidential, or photos. No longer can I chat on the internet and joke about "The PNAC is planning to store political dissidents in box cars outside of Trough Creek State Park" without Alberto Gonzales or whoever it is this week knocking on my door..

No, we're not safer - and definately not more free

We have not been attacked since 9/1/01. That is a very important fact everyone seems to forget.

I'll say it a thousand times....I am glad we are killing terrorists over there rather than fighting them on our soil.

Is the war being waged correctly? No, we are fighting a PC war. When those fucks had killed and burned and then hung those two Americans from that bridge, we should have flattened the city of Falugia (or however that hellhole is spelled) like we did many times in WW II. Now they are too afraid of the CNN cameras.

When the blind Sheik dies, there will be some problems, and I think they will try some type of terroristic stunt here.

Prior to 9/11, what was the most recent major terror attack on American soil?

Oct. 12, 2000: U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole heavily damaged when a small boat loaded with explosives blew up alongside it. 17 sailors killed.

That's a good question. By September 2002 when it became apparent that UN backing would fall thru, a CNN poll showed that 74% of Americans favored the Iraqi invasion even without UN approval.

74%

The USS Cole attack was in Yemen, which is not part of the U.S.

A US warship is US soil. It was not in Yemen without an invite. It was there to refuel. When you attack an embassy, you are attacking the soil of that country.

Maybe 9/11 happened here because the coward Clinton did not retaliate against radical Islamic terrorists over the Cole. His example told the Islamofacists that America can be hit, and nothing will happen.

Tell the sailors who bunk on the USS Cole that their ship isn't US territory and see how far that gets ya.

In addition to US Naval vessels--no matter where they might be--US Embassies are also considered US soil.

imagine a few strategic bombs.. gracefully flowing through the calm evening breeze swiftly passing by the houses maded of clay straight into the center of town and then BAM next thing you see is a sheet of fucking glass.. the sand superheats and there you have it.. the next wonder of the world.. the biggest sheet of glass!! call in the ginus book and thank america for not wasting anymore time or lives. because if we are going to continue to take innocent lives we might at well make it quick.

but realistically though.. fighting a war on terror... humm???!!!
half the people that we are killing and that are killing us right now have nothing at all to do with terror attacks.. they are civilians malitia and small armies that are just trying to protect their way of life. The same way any of us would if another country tried to start an infantry war on our soil and our government did not have the capabilities of taking care of the issue.

That would be like Russia, or whoever, saying they were tired of the MOB in the US then coming over here and killing everyone in the counrty for the comparable hand full of people in this organization. Same exact thing.. America is not the MOB as to Iraq is not Al Qaida

We have bombs that can go through a door way up a flight of stairs and then blow up and you are telling me we can't track down these camp sites of terrorist organizations? Instead we will take thousands of innocent lives? hell there are programs available now any of us can get online type in a location and view cars parked in a parking lot and see people going into buildings.. all of this using satalite mapping.. and you know the government is way more advanced than that! facial recognition software!!! use it!!!

Safer? Maybe because no one wants to fuck around and end up having the US occupy their country too...

The thing that I've never understood about the whole deal is that people in the middle east have been waring against and killing each other for thousands of years... why stop now? So far they haven't managed to wipe 'the other team' out of existence yet... I say just leave and let them kill each other; setup whatever fascist dictator or whatever government they want... oh wait... they have oil over there...

by the end of our lifetimes i bet you oil is obsolete.. at least i hope so.. we need to become a more self reliant/ self sustaining nation

we have the technology all we need to do is put it in play to a higher degree

hybrid cars
pulling energy from H2O
ethanol
solar energy
and many other ways to create, harness, conserve, and reuse energy are all capable of being produced in America

I think if everyone did a lot more going to other band's shows instead of talking about current situations abroad, we might all be a little more entertained and maybe even pick up some techniques....

but that's just my two pennies.

Thoughts?

Whew,I've been watching this political crap go on a long time between the same people who obviously care about the way or the Direction America is going. Please, people like Bfoust,no disrespect to you but dont respond to political threads if you think(or dont think)this is the proper forum or not.I'm going to speak to the people I know regarding this,it's obvious where Jeff(lonewolf)stands, and Joe(undercover, that is)stand,I completly respect your thoughts as I know you are a human-being,HOWEVER,I tend to agree with the likes of Grimm and Hawk as they are PASSIONATE over the beliefs we share because 70 to 75 percent of America feel the way we do.Are we all retarded or do we all believe that W is the retard?Rummy got full military sendoff With a standing ovation today,if we played 2 songs all night for a crowd in a whole night that they liked, would we get a standing ovation?Only in baseball does a 300 average or a 3.00 era win you the big bucks even though your a loser because lets face it 1 out of 3 aint bad?I will be glad to debate in person over a beer or 2 with anyone here.(in a live music venue of course)Anyone that thinks our thoughts are redundent I especially invite you to join in a free public haal type debate somewhere.I understand It's just another reason to get away from the woman for a few beers BUT,could'nt we all respact and get along better afterwards? After all, they're all scum-bag politicians and we're just musicians. We are all people who have feelings, lives, jobs, pay taxes, love music, actually love each other(without really knowing each other)and first and formost are all AMERICAN.Short story:went to the liquor store tonight and the guy in front of me had an artificial leg.He had 4 half gallons of vodka. When he left the clerk told me he lost his leg and had his face disfigured in Iraq.He comes in every Friday and buys 4 half gallons. Now I'm not sure if he dates one of the Bush twins but does'nt that sound like a little two much?Seriously,I'm a veteran,a registered voter,tax-paying democrat who voted for Ronald Reagan and like the Dixie Chicks I'm ashamed of my president and how the will of the people means s&^t to him.Anyhow, you won't hear again from me for months but my phone number is in the book if friendly debate is on YOUR agenda. Also this is not a disclaimer but most of you know me and this is my own commentary and should not reflect on the Banditos whatsoever.HHAAHHAA ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. your friend and supporter(no matter who you are)Billy Bandito

The USS Cole didn't dock at an embassy, it docked at a port.

The ship was in a foreign port. Though the attack was tragic, it did not occur on U.S. soil (i.e. within the 50 states or territories with zip codes and U.S. mailing addresses or in U.S. controlled airspace or waters).
