I thought he was funny but only after he put regular English into Ebonics.

Hey, what is up with this caucasian, Captain Grammar, insulting the way I speak? I am just talking with my friends on Rockpage about some people in the music business. Why are you being aggressive, Captain Grammar. I am the original gangster.

I assure you that my crusade is nothing personal. You have simply just perverted this beautiful language with your incoherent ramblings. You're welcome.

Good sir, I thank you for upholding the standard of grammatical excellence in my abscence. As always, I am so pleased to see Rockpagers' love of English. This Gangster of Ebonics fellow is an example of what happens when linguistic laziness prevails. Literary figures such as Ginsberg have made liberal use of the English lanugage, but they have earned the right to use such poetic license. Unfortunatley, this Gangster chap has not been granted such freedoms. Ebonics is an abomination of this fine language and represents a lack of education. I urge those wishing to expand their cultural and educational background to get a firm grasp of grammar and to indulge in the fine literary works of William Blake and Charles Dickens.

Keep grammatical correctness alive and together we shall rise to a new era of puncuation.

I'm nitpicking again Captain, but please understand that I'm not frontin'. By the way, you are welcome.

Hurricanes, but good sir, a spell check program would not be reinforcing good grammar technique. Do you feel as though you should play each and every gig with a click track? A spell check is much like using a metronome to keep time instead of developing one's own internal time.

I'm glad the Good Captain was busted on Absence.... But did anyone catch the other two?

Language and Unfortunately?

Tsk Tsk Capt... 3 errors.... When I was back in Grad school at PSU that would have been a surefire "F"

Maybe the Captain should be busted back to a Lieutenant?

Sad thing is my mother was a proofreader for the Altoona Mirror for 30 years so I grew up with this “trivial drivel”…
