Byzantine usually asks for like 250.00 - or thats what they asked for to play in Du Bois..

Devildriver would prolly be a relatively cheap band to get too..

Well if you guys are talking about getting national acts. Would it still be a good idea to put on a two-day fest? If you only get one national act, and play them on the second day, I doubt you'll have much of a turnout for the first day. Plus, I think all bands would like to say they shared a stage with a national act. Unless you're willing to get two national acts or the one act plays both days. I would love to share the stage with Byzantine or Devildriver.

Byzantine costs $400.00. Or atleast thats what the manager told me. But they played for us in Du Bois for $250.00. If you wanted a draw that would probly be it.

As for the 2 day metal fest idea, it could work. But you might get alot of folks that wont come the 2nd day, or the 1st day and just show up on the 2nd day. But if you got a somewhat national band to play people would just come see them and then leave.

I digged spellboundbymetal's idea tho. Do a mini tour. A few bars and a few ALL AGE spots. I think that plan would be simple and a success.

its far outta control now, im stepping completely away from this 'organizing' shit.
Obviously, Condemned is still playing whatever. but ill let all 50 of you try to get something coordinated as opposed to one or two people. it shoudl have allready been started to be organized when the thread was started, but it takes forever. Anyfuckinway, the ORIGINAL idea was for LOCAL music....not to share the stage with national bands that are cheap. (devildriver rules though!) I was thinking more about celebrating OUR hard work. Not selling cds for devildriver and byzantine.

someone take the seat and fuckin seriously get this shit going. ill be happy to pass the stuff ive written down to someone else....or as it seems all 50 of you.

Also, if you dont plan on going to this event, your opinions dont mean SHIT.

Ok, well, i have changed my mind. We've got 30 idea givers, but no REAL organizer.....UNTIL FUCKIN NOW. thats right, guys, im gonna make this show fucking KICK ASS. and NO, Condemned isnt headlining, so dont even start any shit about that. I just want this show to be done RIGHT and to celebrate the LOCAL scene. If you wanna share a stage with a national so bad, start another show idea and rent the band. this show is about local metal bands. Obviously all suggestions are welcomed, but ive got a notebook just for this with my ideas started. PM with any of your ideas.
