Band Jam
Band Jam
Ok, here is what we have so far.....
If Iceman doesn't mind, Rockpagers would love having this serve as a benefit to help him and his family with any needs that they may find themselves having while recovering from his battle.
December 29 and 30, 2006
The Alley Popper in Houtzdale
Soundman - (to be named)
I have 5 bands who have said they would participate so far. I would like to have more if possible.
FedUp
Your Dying Wish
Anything Jane
Hexen
Killjingle
If I missed anyone, let me know. If you are interested, again, let me know.
I will also be seeking one neutral person who will serve as the doorperson (or at least help us collect money) so that its all fair.
I will seek sponsorship....I have Spotts Music in Dubois willing to do something. They will determine what they will do at a later time (I think they are wanting to make sure we are having a good event organized). I have a radio station who has expressed interest in helping us out as well. I will also try to get sponsorship from either Miller Lite or Jager.

So far this seems to be pretty much a metal event.....and not quite enough to do a two night event....I may need to work it that we get it all in on one night and make it just all metal.....I'll give it another week to see if we can get more bands interested....please speak up folks....
Metal bands have never really been to our club before....although I do know that there are some customers that like metal. I just don't know how many would turn out just for it. Thoughts?

I think we'll be ok I know a ton of people in Clearfield county who want some Fedup, and actually quite a few who frequent your bar. You just gotta make it look like the most happening thing in Houtzdale, which quite frankly isn't a monumental task.

Hey. Ummm... Hexen can no longer be a participant. Our drummer decided to schedule taking a vacation to New York for the New Years thing they do
Which goes hand-in-hand with this little thing I just recenty posted in the musicians wanted forum

Rockers Battling Cancer
Due to the number of the bands that volunteered their time and talents, we will go with a one night event.
Saturday December 30, 2006
The Alley Popper in Houtzdale (www.alleypopper.com for directions)
$5 cover - All Proceeds to towards Iceman's recovery
Rockers Battling Cancer
Here is the lineup - if the bands would like to adjust order, we can try to work together on this.... just keep me posted.
9-9:45 Your Dying Wish (www.myspace.com/yourdyingwish1)
10:00 - 10:45 Anything Jane (www.idiganythingjane.com)
11:00 - 11:45 Condemned Existence
12:00 - 12:45
1:00 - 1:45 Fed Up (www.fedupworld.com)
I will continue to work on some promotional stuff for this event. Please mark your calendars. Anyone who wants to jump and and jam with the groups, let them know....
I will need someone to help us man the door to make sure that all is fair. We will provide our own person to check ID's.
If 4 more bands contact me prior to next Monday, I will add a second night to this event. But I really need to be able to start on the promotions and need to lock this down before I can do so.
Thanks!!!!!!!
Wooo whoooooo....I should mention, under our management, this will be the first time we've had this much Metal in the house!
EDITED to add slightly change lineup.

Mystic, come on by with three out of four anyway...maybe you can jam with someone
I'm gamed.
We'll work Condemned Existence in some how...maybe go to a 45 minute set????? Dunno...but we'll make it work
Too bad the liquor control board makes us have to shut down and have everyone out by 2:30....we could just play all night long.

this is gonna kick some ass. its a great fuckin cause. great fuckin bands.
i am excited for sure.

Management (my husband and his brother and nephew) are excited too. We've never had metal in the house before under our rule. It will give us an ideal of what we may want to book for 2007.
